Annkoto - Chapter 1: Can I Call you...?

Ann and Makoto are in the student council room.

Makoto: "*giggles* That way of thinking is very much like you, Takamaki-san...

Ann seems puzzled

Makoto: "When you confronted me about Suzui-san, I realized how dishonest and small I was. You're always very direct... That's what helped me finally realize the error of my ways. It turns out I'm a little slow on the uptake at times..."

"Hey... Can I call you Ann?"

Ann: "Uhm, yeah! I- I'm going to do the same, M-M-Makoto... Rgh, that's so embarrassing!"

Makoto smiles at Ann: "How about we get something to eat before we go home for the night?"

Ann suggests a crêpe shop on Central Street, and Makoto happily accepts the offer to share crêpes together.

At the Crêpe shop on Central Street.

Ann: "Y'know Nijima-senpai... I- I mean Makoto, I never thought of you as someone who would enjoy a place like this."

Makoto: "Oh, uhm why is that? Is that really the impression I give off at school..."

Ann: "Well... I did think of you as someone who only cared about their studies."

*Flashback to when Makoto confronted Ren, Ann and Ryuji at Shujin*

Ann: "You're really that hungry for a good letter of recommendation? Of course you are. Nobody would take on your annoying job if they weren't."

Makoto: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Ann: "...You're student council president right? Wouldn't you have known about Kanoshida?"

Makoto: "Of course not! He honestly was a good teacher until that day..."

*End of Flashback*

Makoto: "... I'm sorry, again."

Ann: "Wh-"

Makoto: "I'm sorry for being so... complacent, useless even. My whole life all I've done is obeyed orders from adults. My sister constantly reminds me to keep up with my studies, that nothing else should concern me. And when I suggested my interest in the Phantom Thieves... that's when she snapped at me..."

Ann: "Makoto, I had no idea..."

Makoto: "I didn't mean to throw all of that onto you. I guess it's just me being selfish again-"

Ann: "You're not useless Makoto-senpai!" Makoto gasps, "You're strong now. When you awakened your persona, you led us to safety with such boldness and confidence. I really admire that. As far as I know that's the true you senpai."

Makoto is tearing up: "Ann... I really needed to hear that, thank you."

Ann: "Of course, you're a part of the team now, let's do our best with the other guys to take down Kaneshiro."

Makoto: "Yes, let's show him what we're made of."

Ann: "That's the spirit, now let's actually order those crêpes."

Makoto: "*giggles* Oh yeah, right!"

(I'm also trying to stay as in-character as possible, but it's kinda hard since i've only played p5r through once, and i'm doing new game plus now, so i hope they're not horrendously out of character hhhhh)
