You had been helping Baizhu down at Bubu Pharmacy for the past week. It all started when a rather annoyingly large shipment was sent to the wrong bay, causing fussy customers and a short-tempered Baizhu.
It REALLY took a toll on you, having to deal with shitty rich people who expected everything to go right just cause they had money to trying to coax Baizhu out of his tempered and stressed fit. Course, once again, none of it went the way you planned. Leaving you with the feeling that you wanted to dig yourself a hole and lay in it.
Whenever you got home Zhongli and Childe could feel your drained energy. It showed in every aspect. The way your shoulders slouched, your eye bags, the messy hair, how you trudged around the house, how you couldn't even find the energy to greet them anymore, opting to head straight to the bedroom and lay down after hours of a shitty work day.
It made them worried. So after much convincing (From Childes credit card), Baizhu finally released you from work, telling you to take time off until the shipment was sorted out and back on track. You were definitely confused but really grateful. You expected to come home, make yourself a cup of tea, and sleep.
What you found instead was takeout from Xinyue Kiosk, a place known for its three-month wait lists and even higher take-out demand. It was almost impossible to get your hands on it yet here it was, every dish on the menu sitting at the table along with your husbands.
After that, it really started to click. At first, you wanted to cry, wondering why Childe would waste so much time and money on any of this at all, but your words and worries were quelled when you sat between the both of them. Softly being spoon-fed your meal.
After that, the rest of the day went nicely. Childe cuddled you in the living room while Zhongli washed the dishes. After Zhongli allowed you to lay your head on his lap while he read aloud to you. Then Childe came back with boba. And finally, the two of them took a hot bath with you before laying in bed with only freshly washed robes on.
"Feeling better?" Zhongli asked softly, holding your hand in his while you ran your other through Childes' hair, who was currently resting his head on your stomach. You looked up from where you sat in between Zhongli's legs, nodding with a happy but tired smile. "I'm so glad."
"Our baby boy's been overworked this whole week," Childe sighed, turning his head to kiss your stomach through the robe. It was silent again for a few before Zhongli and Childes eyes met.
