It was a special day in the city of Mondstate. The dear Archons birthday. Course no one knew he was an Archon, but still, it was Ventis birthday.
It being such you, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to take him to Dilucs tavern and let him drink his heart out at his birthday present. Worst decision you'll ever make. It started off ok, everyone was enjoying the food and drinks. You asked Diluc to bring out the alcohol later, just cause you didn't think it was a good idea to have anyone drinking so early into the party.
Venti pulled you around with him a lot during it, introducing you to some other bards and bringing you into the conversation he was having with familiar friends. There were even times he would pull out his lyre and play a tune or let other play while everyone in the tavern danced.
Diluc was glad you gave him the job you did. Being in charge of drinks. This way he could make the excuse of focusing on making drinks for everyone and avoid conversation during such a big event. But even then that didn't stop Venti or Kaeya even from trying to talk to him.
A few hours later was when the alcohol finally came out...oh archons.
The first few rounds were fine, Kaeya was already downing drinks while Venti took it a little easy surprisingly. But that was just because he was under your supervision because the moment you left to use the bathroom oh my god you missed so much. Now Venti was doing a tango in top of the bar with Kaeya, completely wasted. After serval drinks, way more than you can count on one hand, you made him drink a bunch or water. Happy birthday...
On the way home, after Venti had pretty much shoved his cake off the bar for more drinks, Venti was a mess. Giggling and swaying as you helped him stand while walking back to where he lived. As one point you guys have to make a pit stop to a nearby patch of grass so he could hurl what his body couldn't hold in.
When you got back to his house and up to his bedroom you set him down, wiping him down with a cold watered down cloth. You wiped his face and the sweat off his body, you even brushed his teeth for him like a baby. It all took way longer than it should have. What should have taken 15 minutes took almost an hour to achieve.
It's ok though. Because at the end of the day we all love this stupid boy.
