All you could remember was being cold. Your body freezing and your fingertips going numb. Your nose running, your eyelashes growing frost, and your muscles getting weaker. What's worse is the feeling of sharp wind and cold snow running along the cut-open wound on your leg, freezing the blood.
It was a terrible and painful feeling, feeling your blood freeze from the outside in. If this kept up all the blood in your leg would freeze and you'd be immobilized up until your death. That's if your weak legs would even keep you moving any longer, which they didn't. Collapsing into the cold wet snow you used the last bit of your strength to turn yourself onto your back.
This was it, you were going to die because of some accident. Because the ground decided to cave in on you, sending you hundreds of feet down and injuring you in the process. Just your luck. You could be at home in front of the fire, a nice warm fire. Warmth, now that you think about it you're feeling kind of warm, and tired...maybe it wouldn't be so bad to take a small nap.
Closing your eyes you heaved a sigh before everything went dark. Now unconscious and immobile you could do nothing. Nothing about the snow, nothing about your injured leg, and nothing about the shadow that moved closer before looming over your body.
When you woke up, you felt numb and groggy. Your vision was blurry but you could make out a color of soft baby blue. When it finally cleared up you were met with...a person? A rather tall and stoic man, with a black mask that covered his eyes. His hair was a short soft blue and he had what looked like a shrunken test tube for an earring with some unidentifiable blue liquid.
