Author's POV:
Diya opened her eyes and it was still dark with Karthik sitting on the rocking chair looking at her intently. Her eyes were burning and Karthik looked like he'd burn the whole world if she didn't open her eyes. His smouldering eyes sent her a warm smile which she refused to receive.
" You up my Queen?" Karthik asked in a raspy tone.
" Where am I?" She asked looking around only to realise that she was at her home, even though she didn't like the sound of it.
" Home." Karthik said taking each step closer to her.
" What time is it?" Diya asked looking at the night sky that looked like it had embraced the black silk sheets over it and its shining stars emitting its happiness saying how happy they were seeing their Queen again.
" 2: 53 A.M." Karthik said and said on the bed handing her the glass of water.
Diya took the glass and chugged the whole glass looking at her husband who was smiling at her.
" Now that you are up, would you like something to eat?" Karthik asked and Diya slowly nodded with reluctance.
" Come, let's go to the kitchen." Karthik said forwarding his hand. Diya rolled her eyes and got down the bed walking towards the door. Karthik snorted at his wife and followed her slowly pocketing his hands in his night dress.
Diya looked around and sighed seeing the empty vessels greeting her. She was craving some sweets and opened the fridge to find nothing except for some cake and fruit. She hurriedly pulled out the cake and the box of blueberries. She put that on the porcelain plate and added the blueberries to its side grabbing the dessert fork.
She started gobbling the cake and Karthik looked at her like he saw the hungry kid eating the cake for the first time.
" I didn't have the dinner yet." Karthik rasped and Diya spared him a gaze. She looked at her plate and him only to concentrate on her plate and smirk at him. She scooped the last portion of the cake and put it in her mouth looking at her husband. Karthik chuckled and pulled her hand grabbing the external portion of her lips. Diya winced as his teeth came in contact with her lips and her eyes widened when he tried to part her lips.
" Ummmm... umm.." She tried to push him with her lips but her husband was one such Devil who was stubborn. Karthik's hand slowly found her soft skin inside the shirt and caressed her waist stopping at her belly button. Diya opened her mouth to shout at him and Karthik sneakily pushed his tongue his tongue into her mouth making her moan. He scooped the little amount of cake from her mouth and broke the kiss winking at her.
" You promised at our wedding to share everything with me for life." Karthik husked kissing her neck slowly. Diya pushed him and turned back to leave but Karthik pulled her back with full force and locked her in his arms swaying to his right and left.
His posture emitted confidence and relaxation while Diya's posture emitted reluctance and irritation. She gave up and looked at him frowning only to see her husband chuckling.
" Are you scared of me, love?" Asked Karthik with a soft smile.
" No." Came her quick yet fierce answer.
" Stop running from me, Diya. You'll get nowhere my Angel." Karthik advised his wife softly pressing his lips on her shoulder. A soft yet deep sigh left Diya's mouth and she looked at him with her hooded eyes. He gently glided his nose on her nape and her eyes clenched with her grip tightening on his muscular shoulders. Karthik was so soft explaining everything to his wife that he concentrated on her weaknesses soothing them one by one. He looked at the marks he left the other night and winced at the purple marks.
