Author's POV:

As Diya walked out into the dark corridors of the mighty Arka Palace, she found a familiar door that her hand was itching to knock loudly. With a goofy grin, she harshly knocked on the doors. On the other side, the couple's sleep is disturbed making them groan in pure irritation. The irritation turned into frustration making Sahasra get up from the bed and open the door ready to yell at the person who was knocking on the doors at odd hours.

" Hello, Sahasra! Good Morning." She grinned with an evil smile while the other lady looked agitated.

" Why are you here? And why did you knock on our doors at this odd hour?" Sahasra asked agitated. After what Karthik did to her husband, she was even scared to say anything to Diya.

" Oh, I had some work with you and your husband. And I want to finish it even before my husband knows about it." Diya showed her perfect white teeth making Sahasra lose her sleep eventually.

" Isn't it...." Sahasra was about to shout when Diya closed her mouth and walked in along with her.

" Keep your voice low woman. Do you want to wake up the whole Arka?" Diya chided gently shoving her.

" Is your husband up? If not, wake him up." Diya said non-chalantly.

" Why do you need him now?" Sahasra expressed her hate gritting her teeth.

Diya rolled her eyes and sighed sitting on one of the sofas. Diya thought to be civil and get done with her work without fuss but it seemed like she was not ready to leave her without waging a small war.

" I need him and you to sign a few papers. Let's finish everything before the sun rises." Diya said coldly and Sahasra frowned.

" Now, don't waste my time and wake your husband up." Diya whispered in a slow menacing tone.

Sahasra glared at Diya and gently woke her husband who had been on bed rest for the past one and a half months.

" What's it?" Samrat chided for disturbing his peaceful sleep.

" Diya is here," Sahasra whispered while Diya looked at Vihaan who emitted the vibes of the sere night that lulled everyone to the deep sleep. His heartbeat screamed innocence which his parents are trying to rip filling the young heart with the poison. But Diya is glad about one thing, Vihaan is capable enough to understand what his parents are up to and chooses to stay silent when needed.

" What is she doing here and at this time? Does she want her husband to kiss us?" Samrat almost yelled while Diya shushed them glaring. Her eyes slowly darted towards sleeping Vihaan warning them to not increase their voices even a decibel more.

" What do you want?" Samrat looked like he'd get up from his bed and hit Diya while Diya looked no less who looked like she was ready to pounce on him to break his other leg.

" You want to hit me, don't you?" Diya asked with her eyes raging like a bull.

" Oh fish! You don't have a leg, right? How would you even manage to walk to me let alone run and hit me?" Diya asked in astonishment as if she just realised that his right leg was amputated. She passed him a wicked toothy grin that was burning the couple.

" What. Do. You. Want?" Samrat asked pressing on each word.

" Your autograph." Diya said forwarding the papers.

Samrat and Sahasra frowned and took the papers going through each of them. They looked at Diya like she had grown two heads.

" What made you think that I'll sign these papers?" Samrat questioned smirking at Diya and Diya acted like she was thinking for a moment.
