Author's POV:
Diya was busy juggling the work that was left out due to her absence. Although Dhruvi had been her help to a great extent, there were a lot of things that Diya herself had to take care of.
" Revanth, can you please get me the files of last month's capital that we invested in the textile industry?" Diya asked her P.A.
" Sure ma'am." Revanth nodded and came back after a few minutes.
" Please take this file and check whether they are tallied or not," Diya mumbled looking into her desktop and Revanth was quick to do her work.
On the other hand, Karthik was in a board meeting taking their suggestions regarding the profits and how to do their best in the 4th quarter as the 3rd quarter is nearing its end.
Diya called Advi and Advi was silent. Advi is a little hurt after their conversation the last time. Diya started their conversation drily but it eventually picked up and she apologised for her behaviour clarifying that she was not going to believe her husband even after her apology.
In the city's heart, nestled between bustling skyscrapers, Advi strolled into a cosy cafe with an infectious grin. Diya, engrossed in her tablet at a corner table, looks up as her best friend approaches. They exchanged warm hugs and Advi teased Diya pointing to her busy work schedule making both of them chuckle.
As they perused the menu, Advi suggested trying the cafe's renowned desserts, hinting at Diya's Instagram-worthy potential. Diya raises an eyebrow, teasing Advi about her distaste for social media. Laughter ensued, echoing through the cafe and drawing glances from nearby patrons. The banter continues as they place their orders, discussing work challenges and personal triumphs, creating a haven of joy and friendship amidst the aromatic coffee and ambient chatter. For that moment, the cafe becomes a place where two best friends find solace and connection, temporarily escaping the demands of their respective empires.
Once they enjoyed the food that they had ordered, Advi left the place while Diya took her time to complete a little work through her tablet in the cafe and then left. The sun slowly faded and the employees slowly left from both Karthik's and Diya's companies. Karthik chugged his work into his laptop bag and left home while Diya was still completing her work sitting in her cabin. Poor Revanth had to stay back with Diya as she kept working without looking at the clock.
He looked around the room and found his wife nowhere around. "Diya." He called her loud and there was no response. He searched every corner of the chamber and sighed angrily.
" This woman will give me a heart attack one day." He mumbled and called his security. He was rushing to the living room and saw the maids gossiping.
" Did Diya come home?" He asked coldly and they nodded not intimidated by his aura.
" Check where Diya is. I want her information in 30 minutes." Karthik threatened his security and ignited his car.
" Let me drive you home ma'am." Diya's driver requested and Diya dismissed him politely asking him to go home.
" The king will kill me if he gets to know about this Queen. Please listen to me." The driver requested again and Diya acted stubbornly sitting in the driver's seat.
" Sorry, tell your king that his rebellious Queen is breaking the rules he had set." Diya gave him a full-blown smile and zoomed into the car.
Diya found herself on an unexpected adventure of the night. She was driving to an unknown place, following the whims of spontaneity. The sunroof of her car was wide open, and the latest upbeat tunes were blasting from the speakers. Diya was completely immersed in the music, bobbing her head and swaying in her seat.
