Author's POV:
" Bro my Rs.1000!" Asked 13-year-old Ashu.
" I'll give it the next week," Atharva answered calmly looking at his brother. Diya and Karthik are looking at the brothers who are dealing with an issue among themselves.
The back story is that Atharva borrowed a few thousand rupees from Ashu and he still didn't give him his Rs.1000 back.
" OK bro, you give me when you have the money, for now, I'll live on the streets, ok?" Ashu said making a small face and looked at his mum and dad who were controlling their laughs.
" You live a very happy life. All the best brother." He screamed and went to his room. Diya wanted to see what this drama king is up to. He returned with his bag and Karthik tried hard to control his laugh. He still feels that Diya has decided best to bring Ashu home. He is the bundle of joy and Advi's favourite kid.
" Ashu, stop it, baby," Diya said and he fell in his mother's arms.
" It's a forever goodbye Mumma. I'm so poor and I've nothing for myself to put my head under. I'm going to live on the streets." He started his drama again and Karthik swatted on his ass cheeks.
" Atharva," Diya called and he took his slow and estimated steps towards his Ma.
" Yes Ma," He answered politely with a small nod.
" Why did you take his money? You could have asked me," She said and Atharva nodded again.
" I was short of Rs.1500 and I borrowed it from Ashu for my science project. I'm about to return him but I just need a little time for my next pocket money." He answered looking right into his Ma's eyes.
" Fine, but you must give me Rs.1500 along with the interest. Nothing goes out of Ashuthosh's eyes brother." Ashu pointed his fingers between his and his brother's. Atharva nodded and retired to his room while Karthik looked at his younger son. He held his ear and he started screaming.
" Showing off your business skills even before you get into the business, huh?" Karthik asked and Diya glared at him.
" Those are not business skills Dad, those are called survival skills which the kids nowadays lack. And Ashu gives nothing for free." He shrugged with an attitude that made Karthik chuckle.
" Looks like the young businessman is on the way." He commented.
" Noooo..." He screamed in horror.
" The baggage of me being the Prince is already enough, I don't want to be a businessman. Make Ved Bhai a businessman. I'm cool with my camera and animals." He said rubbing his ear.
" Stop screaming. If he hears you calling him by the name Ved, he won't even hesitate to chop you into pieces." Karthik whispered and Ashu bit his tongue as if he realised his mistake.
Atharva and Ashu are poles apart. One is cold and puts everything to himself while the other one screams until the next person listens.
Atharva is calm and devoted to his parents, especially his Ma. He is someone on whom anyone can rely upon. His circle is so small with just Vihaan, Anvi, Abheer and Theo. He doesn't let any of the other 3 kids inside. His beautiful grey eyes are as sharp as the eagle's which makes him apart from everyone. Atharva is good at everything and to everyone, but one thing irritates him, the name Vedant or Ved. Even if someone calls him by mistake, consider themselves fired. As that kid grew up, he turned more inclusive and secluded drawing boundaries around him, sometimes which are off to even Diya and Karthik.
On the other hand, we have Mr. Akira Ashutosh Oberai, the apple of everyone's eye. He is a drama king among all the kids and is fun to be around. He loves talking to Prisha as she is different to others, just like his brother. His camera and he are a deadly combination that others cannot ignore. A pretty handsome lad whose interest is wildlife more and who studies less. As he grew up, his parents understood that he was better off with his camera than in this meticulous business world.
