Author's POV:

Round the house were those big trees that fascinated Diya. The silhouettes of the trees combined with the mountains looked so alluring, with the musing being played by the soulful river.

Diya felt like dancing to the tunes of nature while Karthik was looking at her leaning onto the threshold admiring the peacock who looked ready to gracefully show her moves.

" Karthik, look here." Diya said excitedly showing towards the shallow stream.

"Not tonight darling!" Karthik smirked standing straight and taking the slow steps towards her.

" Please...." She begged him cutely holding his hand.

" I'd admire your actions if you beg me the same way, laid on our bed." Karthik breathed sounding like a form of the Devil which compel people to commit their sins.

" Shameless rascal." Diya chuckled hitting his stomach and Karthik held her hand bringing it to their face level.

" I'm serious Angel." Karthik breathed close to her making her look at him shocked. Karthik advanced as Diya unintentionally took each step back.

" You are not serious." She breathed just against his lips and her little hands held his shoulder for the grip.

" I'm not," Karthik answered her closing his eyes and leaning forward. As soon as those words left his mouth, Diya's skin paled.

" I need you, Diya," Karthik mumbled gently pressing a kiss against her nape which made her jerk in his arms. Diya closed her eyes and exhaled deeply as her hands fisted on his shirt.

" Are.... are you..... sure?" She stuttered looking at him. In the whole process, unknown to Karthik, she slowly moved back. Even before Karthik answered her, Diya gave him a terrorised look and ran inside the house.

" D, wait," Karthik shouted but Diya ran like her life was dependent on that one run. A deep yet dark chuckle escaped Karthik's throat seeing the path where she just ran from.

" You are so naive if you think you are going to get away from me Angel, at the end of the night, it is my arms where you belong," Karthik mumbled and took slow steps inside the house.

" Angel, come on baby, stop running from me," Karthik said softly and Diya bit her lip leaning onto the door which she carefully closed. Diya gazed at her heaving chest which was moving up and down, her heart beating so loud that even Karthik could hear them.

" I see that you love playing games with me?" She heard his loud chuckle which sent the shivers down her spine. Diya gulped and bent down to adjust the strap of her slip and she jumped hearing the sound of the knock.

" Come on Angel, open the door and let me in," Karthik asked with his cute voice. She moved away and the door slowly opened revealing the Satan himself who came in search of his Angel.

Karthik opened the door wide and took threatening steps forward while Diya took them simultaneously back. The lurid breeze from the wooden windows hit the room where the curtains were flying in the air and their garments looked ready to be torn off their body.

" I'm... I'm warning you....." Diya showed her finger at Karthik and at the speed of the vampire he stood in front of her.

" You were saying something Love?" He mocked and Diya gulped. He looked at her to speak further but her figure looked distraught and vulnerable in his arms.

" What's it?" He breathed and Diya looked into his soft brown eyes standing on her toes trying to match his height.

" I'm scared." She admitted and Karthik frowned.
