Ship

Once I thought for myself, but now, no!

I am captain of my ship, she seeks me.

Caesar seeks glory, Cato defends Rome

I was selfish, now save my ship from sink

If I were mad, and my ship were not real,

Then wake up tomorrow in peace and rest

The waves crash, thunder, stay in bed, ship reels,

I am forced, tired, but have to be best,

The great ship sees me, admires, smiles,

Self-heart wants to go home, yet loves ship

She wants silver in faraway isles,

I am a poet, poor in all but quips

I must go ahead, am so uncertain--

Know not, scared, yet can be no aversion--
