CHAPTER 3

AUTHOR POV

Adrika was returning from the office with Abeer. Suddenly, she noticed an ice cream parlor outside and exclaimed, "Stop!!!"

Abeer stopped the car abruptly and asked, "What happened?"

She replied excitedly, "Ice cream!!!"

Hearing this, Abeer stared at her and teased, "It's cold outside, and you want to eat ice cream?"

She nodded eagerly.

Abeer sighed but started the car again and drove towards the mansion.

Once they arrived, Adrika began playing with the cute little Simba.

Later, Abeer and Adrika went to their room and started preparing for an important meeting they had the next day with the Rajawats.

Adrika was applying hand cream while glancing at Abeer through the mirror. He was sitting on the sofa, typing something on his laptop. Wearing a white shirt and gray sweatpants, he looked devilishly handsome.

Realizing she was staring at him, Adrika quickly shifted her gaze back to the mirror and resumed her work. Eventually, she fell asleep.

Morning:

Everyone was having breakfast when Suhana broke the silence and said, "Vardaan, you have to drop Aarohi at her home for the Paghfera ritual."

He nodded in acknowledgment.

After breakfast, everyone left for their work. Aarohi was getting ready to go back to her home when Vardaan entered the room and said, "Let's go."

Aarohi thought to herself,
"I thought he doesn't even talk. Anyway, why do I care? I'm just going to my home!"

The entire car ride was peaceful, with neither of them saying a word. When they reached her house, Vardaan dropped her off outside and left without saying anything.

Aarohi had expected Vardaan to come inside her house with her, but he didn't.

She went inside and saw her uncle, aunt, and cousin Aarav discussing something. When they noticed her, their faces lit up with happiness.

Aarav ran up to her, picked her up, and said, "Didi, I missed you so much! It's good that you're here now. 

Otherwise, I was about to come to you myself, but mom and dad wouldn't let me!"

Aarohi laughed and replied, "Now that I'm here, tell me how much you missed me! See, I told you that you'd miss me a lot."

He smiled warmly.

Aarohi hugged her uncle and aunt, and they all sat together, chatting and catching up.

After finishing their breakfast, Adrika and Abeer left for their office as they had a very important meeting with the Rajawats.

While Abeer was in his office, Adrika was busy arranging files. Breaking the silence, Adrika said, "Sir, we have the next meeting in 30 minutes."

Abeer stood up from his seat and suddenly pinned Adrika against the wall. She was startled and frightened by his unexpected action.

Abeer said in a firm tone, "You don't need to call me 'Sir'."

Adrika, regaining her composure, pushed Abeer back and replied, "We are in the office, so I have to call you 'Sir'."

She turned to leave, but Abeer grabbed her wrist and said again, "Don't call me 'SIR'."

After a moment, Abeer loosened his grip, allowing her to walk away.

As Adrika stepped out of the room, she accidentally bumped into someone. Her file fell to the ground. Without looking up, she quickly apologized and continued towards her cabin.

After 30 minutes

Everyone goes and sits in the conference room, then Abeer comes, Adrika also comes with him and she stands behind him.

Jayant and Abhishek start giving their presentation, who are employees of Abeer's company.

Mr. Rajawat finalizes the deal and said, "Mr. Chauhan you have very hardworking employees in your company "

Abeer chuckled.
Mr. Rajawat said while looking at Adrika, "will you send one or two employees to my company. I will keep them on a double salary."

Abeer smirked and said,
"they do their work with honesty and they are happy with their salary"
He indicates all the employees to go from the conference hall and they all left.

Mr. Rajawat comes out of the conference room and starts moving towards Adrika.

He held her hand and said, "kaha ja rhi sweetheart!!! Hamare saath chalo tumhe double salary par rakhenge"

Adrika stops and says, "Marne ja rhi hu chaloge"

Mr. Rajawat clenched his fist and said, "lagta hai abhi nayi ho to tumhe kuch pata nhi hai "

Adrika walks away. Tears welled up in her eyes and she started moving towards the washroom.

She received a call from Abeer and she picked up the call and Abeer shouted on other side, "COME TO MY CABIN RIGHT NOW"!!!!!!!

She gets scared of Abeer shouting on the phone. Then she washes her face and went to Abeer's cabin.

After 30 minutes, everyone gathered in the conference room. Abeer entered, followed closely by Adrika, who stood behind him.

Jayant and Abhishek, two of Abeer's employees, began giving their presentation.

Impressed, Mr. Rajawat finalized the deal and said, "Mr. Chauhan, you have very hardworking employees in your company."

Abeer chuckled softly.

Looking at Adrika, Mr. Rajawat added with a sly smile, "Why don't you send one or two of them to my company? I'll hire them for double the salary."

Abeer smirked and replied coolly, "They work with honesty, and they're happy with their salary here."

He then gestured for all the employees to leave the conference hall, and everyone complied.

As Mr. Rajawat stepped out of the conference room, he approached Adrika. 

Grabbing her hand, he said with a smirk, "Where are you going, sweetheart? Come with me, I'll hire you for double the salary."

Adrika stopped in her tracks and replied coldly, "I'm going to die—care to join me?"

Mr. Rajawat clenched his fists in anger and sneered, "You must be new here, so you don't know how things work yet."

Ignoring him, Adrika walked away. Tears welled up in her eyes as she made her way toward the washroom.

Her phone rang. It was Abeer. She hesitated but answered the call.

"COME TO MY CABIN RIGHT NOW!" he shouted, his voice harsh and commanding.

Adrika froze, scared by his tone. Taking a deep breath, she splashed water on her face to calm herself before heading to Abeer's cabin.
