Abeer was running late for an important meeting, his mind racing with thoughts of the presentation he had to deliver.
His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as he navigated through traffic, frustration building inside him with each passing minute and Adrika already pissed him off.
As he pulled into the parking garage and hurried towards the elevator, his phone buzzed with a message from his assistant reminding him of the time.
He cursed under his breath, the stress of the situation weighing heavily on his shoulders. When the elevator doors opened on his floor, he practically sprinted towards his office, desperate to make it on time.
But as he turned the corner he saw in front of his office was Riya. A wave of anger washed over him at the sight of her.
Memory with her clenched his jaw, trying to push down the emotions threatening to bubble over.
Ignoring her, Abeer walked past Riya towards his cabin, determined to focus on the task at hand. But she wasn't about to let him off that easily.
She called out to him, "baby"
her voice echoing through the hallway. Abeer's fists clenched at his sides as he turned to face her, his expression hardened with resolve."Leave me alone, Riya," he said, his voice cold and distant. "I have no interest in rehashing the past."
Riya took a step closer, her eyes pleading for his attention. "Abeer, please. Can we talk? I just want to-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Abeer cut her off with a sharp tone. "I said leave me alone. I have a meeting to attend and I don't have time for this."
With a final glance in her direction, Abeer turned on his heel and walked away, leaving Riya standing alone in the hallway.
His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of anger and hurt swirling inside him. He couldn't understand why seeing her again had stirred up such strong emotions.
After coming out of the conference room, Abeer took a deep breath and rolled up his sleeves. The meeting had been intense, but he felt confident in the decisions made.
As he walked down the hallway, lost in thought, he suddenly again heard a familiar voice call out to him.
Turning around, confusion clouded his mind as he tried to understand why she was here again he already told her to go.
Before he could react, Riya stumbled and fell into his arms, causing him to instinctively reach out to steady her.
Abeer was taken aback by the sudden closeness, but he quickly tried to correct the situation and gently pushed Riya away.
However, she seemed agitated and pushed herself back into his arms, clinging onto him desperately.
Just then, Abeer's phone rang, and he saw Rakshit's name flashing on the screen. He quickly answered the call.
