Rakshit entered the room, his steps heavy, his face a storm of unspoken emotions.

Siya followed him, her heart still light from the laughter they had shared earlier, thinking everything was fine now that she had apologized.

But as she looked at Rakshit, she could sense something was different, something was weighing him down.

Rakshit walked straight to the bed, sitting on the edge, his head hung low, fingers entwined, knuckles white.

Siya hesitated for a moment, then quietly sat on the couch in front of him, her eyes searching his face for clues.

The silence between them was thick, almost suffocating.

Rakshit…” Siya’s voice was soft, almost a whisper. “What’s wrong?”

He looked up slowly, his eyes meeting hers, and she saw it—the raw pain, the fear still lingering in his gaze.

It was as if he was trying to find the right words, words that wouldn’t break him further.

Siya,” he began, his voice low and trembling,

do you know what went through my mind when I saw you and you were pretending to bleed?”

Siya’s heart sank.

She knew he was upset earlier, but seeing him now, the depth of his distress, she realized she had underestimated just how much she had hurt him.

She replied, "Rakshit, wait... I—I'm sorry, it was just a prank. There's no bleeding, I'm not hurt."

“I thought I was going to lose you
Siya, do you have any idea what you just put me through?”

Rakshit continued, his voice cracking with each word.

For a few moments, I believed I was losing the two most important people in my life. I was terrified… utterly helpless.”

Tears welled up in Siya’s eyes.

She wanted to say something, anything, but the lump in her throat held her back.

Rakshit’s eyes filled with unshed tears, and he took a deep breath as if trying to gather the courage to say what he needed to.

Siya, that kind of fear… it’s not something I can just shake off. It’s like… it’s like my heart stopped. And the thought that it was all a joke… it’s unbearable. Because I know, one day… one day, if this happens for real, I might not be able to handle it. It could kill me, Siya. The thought of losing you, even in a prank, it’s like… it’s like being suffocated.”
