CHAPTER 8

AUTHOR POV

Both Abeer and Rakshit were lost in thought when Abeer said,
"Where is dumbo? I didn't see him at dinner today..."

Rakshit laughed before replying,
"He's not a Dumbo, he's actually more intelligent than you. He runs a tech company, just so you know."

Abeer responded,
"Whatever!!!!"

Rakshit said,
"Abeer, call him and ask where he is!"

Abeer made an annoyed face and said,
"Okayyy!!!"

He called Vardaan. Vardaan picked up the phone and said, "Hello!"

Abeer asked,
"Where are you, Vardaan?"

Vardaan replied,
"At my penthouse."

Rakshit asked,
"Why didn't you come home?"

Vardaan said,
"I had some work, so I didn't come."

They continued talking when Vardaan heard Aarohi's voice. It seemed like she had woken up, and when he opened the door, he saw her crying on the bed. Vardaan walked over to the bed and asked,

(He didn't cut the call from his side)
[The funny thing is...]

After listening to the conversation, Abeer and Rakshit were shocked when they heard Vardaan's next words.

Abeer cut the call. Rakshit was about to tease him, but Abeer had already ended the call and said,
"Privacy is a thing, you know!!!
Mr. Rakshit Singh Chauhan."

Rakshit rolled his eyes and said,
"Okay, okay!!!"

They both started laughing and decided they would tease him.

Meanwhile, Vardaan heard Aarohi crying, and he quickly moved toward the bed, saying,
"I'm here, baby. What happened? Why are you crying?"

He sat next to her on the bed. She was still sobbing, and he gently caressed her hair and back. Then he asked her if she wanted food, but she declined, saying,
"I don't want to eat anything."

He insisted,
"Eat something, Aarohi."

She shook her head, saying,
"My head hurts so bad, and I just want to sleep."

Without wasting any time, he got up from the bed. He had already ordered medicine, which he promptly gave her, and then he covered her with a duvet.

When he saw that she had fallen asleep, he let out a sigh of relief. After some time, his phone rang. He saw it was Rakshit calling.

He picked up the call and, with an annoyed expression, asked,
"What now, Bhai?"

Abeer said,
"Nothing happened, baby, I was just thinking about you."

After hearing this, Vardaan was shocked. He started looking around to see if there were any cameras or microphones.

Rakshit said,
"You should cut the call, tech mafia," and laughed.

Vardaan suddenly realized he hadn't disconnected the call.

"[Here, Vardaan turned red with embarrassment.]"

Abeer teased,
"Why, what happened Vardaan baby? Did your cheeks turn red!!"

Vardaan snapped,
"You both shut up!!!!"

Rakshit and Abeer laughed at how much Vardaan had changed after his marriage. He had never dated anyone, always focused on his career, and was known for his grumpy side.
