Aarohi stood up, ready to leave, but before she could take a step, Vardaan gently grasped her wrist and pulled her back.

She landed on his lap, and he rested his face on her shoulder.

Vardaan's breath tickled her ear as he whispered, his voice carrying a note of earnestness.

"I'm really sorry for everything, Aarohi," he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear.

"I promise, whatever you say, I'll do it. I know I shouldn't have behaved like that. I'm sorry."

Aarohi felt a mix of emotions but didn't respond immediately.

She stood up, brushing off her clothes, and prepared to leave again. Vardaan's voice broke the brief silence.

"Ab kidhar ja rhi?" he asked, trying to catch her eye.

"Office," Aarohi replied curtly, heading toward the door.

Vardaan, trying to lighten the mood, teased, "Writers ka bhi office hota hai?"

Before he could continue, Aarohi picked up a lip balm from the table and threw it at him with annoyance.

[Aise mat bol bhai apne liya gaddha mat khod]

He caught it, grinning sheepishly.
"Ooh, sorry!" he exclaimed, bursting into laughter.

Aarohi couldn't help but smile, shaking her head at his antics.

Vardaan stood up and slipped on his T-shirt, then said, "I'll drop you."

Aarohi, busy braiding her hair, hummed in response.

They both made their way downstairs together. Vardaan, walking closely beside her, seemed utterly captivated by his wife.

"Why are you sticking so close?"
Aarohi asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"I'm not sticking close; you're the one sticking to me,"
Vardaan teased, a playful smile on his lips.

Aarohi shot him a glare and playfully pushed him away.

However, Vardaan's solid build made her lose her balance, and she stumbled on the stairs.

Before she could hit the ground, Vardaan quickly caught her, pulling her into his arms.

"See? Whoever pushes others ends up falling themselves," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Aarohi looked into his eyes, half-exasperated and half-amused.
"That was so mean," she muttered.
