Ash's journey in this fanfic is very similar with the exception of every pokemon will be randomized, how will he do, what will be his starter instead of Pikachu.

Ash is walking through viridian forest, he's been walking for hours now, frosmoth perching on a tree whenever he saw Ash he just flew forward a bit and waited to him. Ash also making sure frosmoth was near by, right next to Ash was his hawlucha, who was starring around the forest for any sites of a threat, she was also curious the new adventure she'll be on and couldn't wait until her next battle. Hawlucha jumped infront of Ash seeing a potential threat near a tree looking at Ash, the noice attracted Ash.
"What is it hawlucha" he says, now seeing a pokemon Ash immediately straightens up prepared for a battle,the pokemon was a skwovet.

The pokemon blankly stares at Ash, with a blank expression, hawlucha was about to go in for a tackle but is stopped when ash speaks "hold on hawlucha". Ash then steps infront of his pokemon, taking out from his back pack, berry that nurse koy and officer jenny had rewarded ash for helping prevent the pokemon in the pokecentre from being stolen. Ash leans slowly to the pokemon, the pokemon doesn't move rather approaches the food and nibbling on it.
"You see hawlucha, he's not gonna hurt us" Ash says softly not trying to scare of the pokemon "what about you join me little guy".
The pokemon didn't respond, instead after finishing the berry it ran off, Ash waved the pokemon off as they continued to walk, the skwovet climbed a tree seeing in the distance Ash go off. Ash traveled until night, taking out each of his pokemon at a time so they could do minor training while on the travel or just get some fresh air or just to ger fed and do other things that they couldn't do in the pokebal. When night did happen, Ash took out his pokemon giving them 1 last meal of the day, when offered frosmoth he had refused instead wanting to go find his own, which had caused starly and hawlucha to actually want to make a competition on which pokemon would have found the most food. Fromoth gladly accepted this challenge being fully confident in his own abilities, Ash tells them "be careful guys, and make sure you don't get separated".
Starly and hawlucha had teamed up against frosmoth, after 20 minutes of scavenging together they had found a burried under ground a nest filled berries and other poke food goods. They were joyful that they managed to find this stash, when they were about to take it they heard a noice coming from behind them only to see an angry looking Wigglytuff.
