Ash's journey in this fanfic is very similar with the exception of every pokemon will be randomized, how will he do, what will be his starter instead of Pikachu.

Ash was running with his pokemon when he was stopped by a kid around Ash's age, he was warring samurai armor and carrying a katana, he spoke.
"Greetings am I addressing the pokemon trainer who came from pallet"
"Yeah I am from pallet".
"I have found you at last" he replied, taking out his katana he leaped towards Ash, only for hawlucha and starly to bat the sword away. The sword snapped in half revealing that it was just make out a piece of flimsy thin plastic, once hawlucha and starly realized that the threat was actually not that threatening they backed of, in response the pokemon trainer yelled.
"No my sword, why would you ever this".
Ash shouted back "Hey you attacked first, it's not my fault... my pokemon only defended me".
The samurai calmed down "yes, forgive me, you are not to blame, I have been told to have a frightening aura, it's not your pokemon faults for sensing that aura and acting as any animal would... let's get to a different foot, I am the invincible in combat, shroom, and who are you wondering pokemon trainer from pallet".
"Yeah, names Ash, so what do you want from me".
"Isn't that obvious a pokemon match, though judging by your pokemon, this battle will be a 2 v 2, let us see who will be victorious".
"I can beat you blind folded... but hold on why does it have to be a 2 v 2, I've got 4 pokemon".
The samurai didn't responded instead he took out a pokeball ready to battle, "are ready or are you a chicken".
"I'll show you chicken". Ash yelled sending out hawlucha. "Alright hawlucha you can use this time to practice that special move you showed".
"I'm afraid your pokemon will be unable to train, as she'll be taken out before she'll know it, come Ledyba"

Hawlucha poses as not entirely scared of this 3 foot opponent, samurai shroom talks.
"Ledyba appearance may not be utterly terrifying but I tell you not to underestimate my ledy".
Ash takes out his pokedex with it responding on the pokemon right in front of them "Ledyba is best known by its timid nature, they will be afraid to move if it is alone but will be active if it is in a group, when the weather becomes cold it lots of these pokemo cluster together for warmth and comfort".
"That doesn't sound strong to me, ready hawlucha".
Hawlucha nods with a sweat drop dripping down her head, Ash not noticing that hawlucha is indeed tired from her fight, actually all of Ash's pokemon are, they may be fully healed back to full fighting hp but each of his pokemon are exhausted with only psyduck being humble enough to show it. Seeing that hawlucha would most likely lose the battle frosmoth stepped infront of hawlucha, displaying a compassion neither Ash or hawlucha expected.
