Twenty-two

Ju-won isn't still coming to school. She didn't want to face the bullies. Ju-won used an excused to Su-ho she still wasn't feeling well, and wanted to stay home. That's exactly what she did. Meanwhile, at the roof top of the school, the bullies were discussing why Si-eun or Ju-won haven't been coming to school, and Beom-seok isn't answering.

"We still need to beat up Ahn Su-ho. Damnit."

"Why isn't Kwon Ju-won and Yeon Si-eun coming to school?"

"What if he's really dead?"

"If he's dead. What about Ju-won? We didn't really touch her. We just basically kidnapped her."

"No, but.. we probably scared her to death."

"Hey." Jung-chan said. "If something really happened to them... Our teacher would of told us. They would of told us to go to Si-eun's funeral." Jung-chan was going to get a hold of Beom-seok again, but stopped in his tracks when Su-ho had appeared who had been listening to the whole conversation.

One of the boys grunted when Su-ho had punched him in the stomach. He did to the next person, then the next. Once he got to Jung-chan, he put his hands up in defense, and stopped him. "Wait! Beom-seok called you first but you didn't answer! So, we took Ju-won to call you out. Your girlfriend. We kidnapped her. You were supposed to come but, Si-eun came instead."

"So, what happened?"

"Yeong-bin has this friend, and Beom-seok gave him money to beat you up!" Jung-chan explained, not even taking a deep breath to calm down. "He said if you got badly injured he can take back Ju-won! Beom-seok did everything! We just stood by him!" It was quiet between them Jung-chan praying that he wouldn't do anything. Suddenly, Jung-chan let out a grunt when Su-ho punched him in the stomach.

Ju-won was back at work. Ju-won was mopping the floor when she stopped, as she sees Su-ho walking over. Ju-won leaned the mop against the wall nearby, and the two sat down at the table. "What hospital is Si-eun in?" Ju-won's heart stopped right there because he knew what happened. "Si-eun got discharged today."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Si-eun asked me to keep it a secret from you." Ju-won let out a shaky breath. "I didn't mean for any of this to happened."

"It's okay." Su-ho reached over the table, and grabbed onto her hands. "I understand. You're just trying to protect me, to stay out of trouble." Su-ho gave her a smile, and Ju-won couldn't help but think that smile was telling her something was up. "Am I going to see you at home tonight, right?"

Su-ho hummed and smiled, as he rubbed his thumb against her hand. That was her answer. He was definitely going to do something.
"Su-ho. Remember that date you asked me about? Lets go on one.. tonight. After work. Just me and you. 8:00."

"Okay." Su-ho grinned, and agreed. "Finish work. I'll see you tonight, yeah?" Su-ho leaned forward to kiss her forehead. He gave her one last smile before he left the restaurant. Ju-won let out a shaky breath she didn't realize she was holding onto the whole time she was with Su-ho. She just hoped he doesn't do anything, and will see him tonight for their very first real date.

As for Su-ho, he didn't mean to lie and say see you tonight. He just wanted to not have her worry about him. Deep down, he knew she knew he was going to go after them one by one due to the fact that she asked about the date.

After work Young-yi and Ju-won was getting ready for the big date. Young-yi was putting make on Ju-won because she had no idea how to use it. "Little more mascara should be the final touch. Just hold still."

"Okay, now your hair."

When they were done, Ju-won didn't believe that was her in the mirror when she stared at herself. Young-yi did a smokey eye look, her hair was curled as it fell to her shoulders. She was wearing her black boots, black leather pants, a cute regular shirt, with her black leather jacket over.

"You look sexy. Just like in the movies." Young-yi joked.

Suddenly, Ju-won's phones dinged with a text message, and she grabbed her phone. Ju-won glanced down and saw it was a text from Su-ho.

Su-ho: meet me at the tteokbokki place we were at before xoxoxo

Ju-won furrowed her eyebrows when she notices the 'xoxoxo' part because he had never used that before. This would be the first time. Also, why would he asked her to meet there, and not have him come home and go together? She thought that was weird, but went along with it.

When she got to the tteokbokki place, she felt iffy about this whole thing. She had entered the restaurant, and took a seat. She ordered some water for herself and Su-ho for when he comes. She couldn't be happier that it was her actual first date, and she's sharing it with the person she cared most about.

Waiting.

Waiting.

Kwon Ju-won never did so much waiting in her entire life. Su-ho hasn't shown up yet, and it's been couple hours. Had he stood her up? No he couldn't. He was too for sure excited about the date.

More hours went by, and Ju-won was upset and disappointed he hadn't shown up. Why did he agree to the date, and didn't exactly show? Did he actually care, or was he pretending to care this whole time? Did he felt bad for her that's why he liked her? Ju-won felt stupid for having feelings for someone just to get stood up.

Her thoughts were cut off when she felt a tap on her shoulder, and she looked up. "Excuse me, miss. We're closing. I'm afraid you have to leave." At that, Ju-won looked up at the clock, and realized it was midnight. Had she been waiting all this time for a boy?

Without saying anything, Ju-won stood up and left the restaurant. When she started to walk home, she was taken back when a man she had never wearing a suit stopped in front of her.

"Excuse me." Ju-won glared. "I have to go home."

"No." The man shook his head. "You'll be going with me instead."

"What the fuck? I don't even know you. Now, if you'll excuse me-" ju-won was about to walk past him, but he had grabbed onto her arm to stop her. " Are you kidding me?! Listen, if you don't let go of me right now, I'll punch you in the face, and then call the police."

"I'll explain on the way to the hospital. Now, come with me."
