Gael - April Goes Viral

It had been 3 days. I had told April about things in school and stuff, and she seem to be happy to learn the dramas.

Having a ghost friend is nice. She's already dead so it's not like anything worse is gonna happen to her.

Except she's nosy and had gone through my entire room already. She'll figure my entire lore in less than a week if she keep going.

I need to do something about her.

Me and Nolan were eating lunch in the hallway cause we're too much of losers to even get a table. We have to eat by the hallway lockers.

April was inspecting him like a detective, searching for something. She looked up at me beside him, "Who have the other one?" She moved toward me, her head moving closer and closer to me. Luckily ghosts don't need air so she's not breathing on me.

What is she on about?

"You okay?" Nolan asked.

"Mhm.."

"Okay. Oh yeah some kid in my class got a -3% overall. Math I think." Thank god, random stupid conversation.

"That's worse than you, what an accomplishment," I answered as April ate everyone's food. I hurriedly finished my tuna sandwich. I don't even like Tuna, but it's Thursday.

==========

It's getting irritating, thankfully, it's already Friday. April is making it hard to pay attention.

"Why do you even bother to learn world history? What's in the past is in the past. Nothing is gonna change," She said, commenting on the lesson about the revolutions as she looked at my notes on how many people died.

Tap tap tap.

"So we don't repeat mistakes from the past," I whispered.

"Why don't people jut be better? Like it's not that hard," she suggested.

"Shut up..." I said out loud. The class looked at me. Shoot.

"Is there something you would like to say?" The teacher asked.

I panicked, what should I do.

Tap tap tap. Ideas ideas ideas. Hmmmm. Would she accept the story of Alexander Hamilton? That's historical. Wait no, we're not in the US, Hammy did not help built this country.

"Finally! Some action!" April cheered, "ooooh you're in trouble... Okay just wait."

I frowned. I got into trouble because of her what is she gonna do.

I watched as she picked up the marker and wrote Fuck History on the whiteboard.

"Umm... Madame... The marker is moving on its own..." Some kid said, pointing at he board. Everyone got out their phone and started filming.

Great. Now people will think ghost are real.

April caught me giving her a disapproving stare and just stick out her tongue.

"Oh come on. You're welcome?" She said.

My History teacher screamed in fear. She forgets all about me.

April quickly wrote more on the board.

Canadian history is a big L boring *insert hamilton script*

Now everyone is at the attention of her. Awesome.

==========

My family was watching the news while eating dinner, because we don't

The news woman, the mother of some kid at my school, yaps.

"Blah blah blah ghost sighting blah blah blah teacher died of a heart attack blah blah blah school bathroom fivesome sighting blah blah blah or ghost idk blah blah blah vapers strike again blah blah blah-"

"Gael, isn't that your school?" My little sister, Aurora asked. She's 10, in grade 5. We got a 7 year gap between us. Big gap, big enough for us to not be besties, small enough to be close to her.

"Hmm? Yes?"

"They saw a ghost there!"

My mom paid more attention to the tv.

"And isn't that your history class?" She asked. She had been more worried about me ever since... That night. I hate the unnecessary attention.

"Yes? But I think this happened after my period?" I lied. Acting is not hard. I tapped my finger on my lap.

"Am famous! Cool!" April commented. Not cool girly, not cool. At least you're dead so what's the worst that can happen? Oh wait maybe:

The tv woman talked about how they're starting to conduct a search for the ghost. They might just open up Area 51 for ghosts.

Or they come up with some April trend on toktik

==========

"Do you think birds fall off the nest when they sleep?" April asked in the middle of the night.

"No, get to sleep," I groaned, rolling over.

I already kicked her out of my room, but because she got short term memory or something, she kept coming back.

It's funny, ghosts still eat, talk and think like humans, but they don't sleep or need to go to the washroom.

Being a ghost must be fun. Death must be interesting, not that I really want to find out anytime soon.

Being a human who can see even a ghost is not.

"Okay... But do they?" She kept on going.

"Why don't you go out and find a bird nest, and see for yourself?" I mumbled.

"Okay!" She happily replied and flew away. I probably will expect her to come back very soon because of the limits.

Sure enough, she came back.

"It's raining," she told me.

I can hear the rain pouring outside. More like sprinkling but it is getting stormier by the second.

"No shit Sherlock"

"It feels familiar..."

I was too tired to respond. So I counted some taps and got to 1215 before I fall asleep. Divisible by 3, nice.
