Gael retreated to his room. Okay so his bestie died and all blah blah blah. But I killed myself? Am sorry what? Huh? I didn't know how to process it.
"Well that was... not what I expected," I said, sitting down on the stair. Aurora sat down next to me.
"That was so skibidi-" Aurora said.
"THAT'S NOT IT"
She sighed, "Whatever. How did you get the baby back?"
"Okay well it was funny."
==========
A random ghost flew over to me and said "Some guy said to take the baby back. I don't remember his exact words actually."
"Who? What he look like?" I asked, still watching Heather holding the baby close.
"Ummmm bye" She disappeared. I have to come up with a way to get the baby back from Heather. I'm a ghost so it's limiting.
"WAAAAH WAAAAAH" Baby Olivia cried.
"Oh shut up," Heather scolded her, "I guess they don't care about you."
If you squint, Olivia is giving her the middle finger. I got an idea. If it's a ghost she wanted, it's a ghost she get.
She's too hot to be ignoring me this long. Can I make myself be seen?
I concentrated and collected the wind in the park. All the winds are heading into my direction. I focused to make myself have a collision so that the wind couldn't just go right through me. That way, it go up or down, showing me.
"shika shika shaaa shaaaa" I made very ghostly scary noise to get her attention. Her head's snapped to look at my direction and oh boy, her face was priceless.
Her arched eyebrows was like higher than a kite flown by a giraffe.
"Who are you," She whispered softly. Oh my gosh, her voice is so soothing. I had to collect myself to remind me what I'm supposed to be doing.
"I'm here to take the baby back," I said, trying not to make eye contact. Those beautiful eyes are big weapons.
"... Can I take a picture?" She asked, "Be with me." She smirked but..
HOW CAN I SAY NO TO THAT?
"Um, I just want the baby. BUT OKE!"
I posed, let Heather take pictures and took the baby away back to the house.
==========
"April... Why did you let her do that?" Aurora asked me. She doesn't sound like she approve it.
"Cause she hot." Why else?
"Ummm...... no?"
"What do you mean no?"
"I don't know. She's cool and all, but no. I'm getting weird vibe."
I don't understand her but whatever. Aimee, the French cousin, walked up the stair and Aurora scooted out of the way.
"Who are you talking to?" She asked, "Imaginary friend? Or perhaps unknown entities?" She smiled slightly like she knows what's up.
Weird family. Most of them got weird mystic stuff going on and this French gal right here is not even blood related.
"Um the first one," Aurora replied quickly. She raised her eyebrows.
"Okay!" She took it. The French girl quickly turn from mysterious to bubbly. "I've been practising a new future telling technique! Seeing how you will die! Wanna try out?"
Does it work on dead people? Gael trauma dump but didn't say anything about me.
"That sounds... terrifying-" We got cut with aggressive rubbing of the violin bow and the string. That's not even music we're hearing that's unholy scream of the dead spirits in the Field of Punishment in the Underworld.
"Come, I'll do it!" Aimee grabbed her hand and led her to Aurora's room. I followed to see. Her room have pastel purple wall with a lot of achievements sticking on it. There's a desk that's waaay more organized than Gael's and some assignments on it. She also have random items that looked hand crafted by her and Karen Jr.
They knelt down on the fluffy rug on the floor. Aimee grabbed her hand and petted it like a cat. Princess walked in and I then recognized how similar his fur is to the rug. Why is everything Aurora owned Princess like?
"We need to be in your room as it is surrounded by things that identify you," Aimee explained, "Of course I don't need to be in your room. We just need things that identify the clients. I'm a powerful psychic."
She closed her eyes to concentrate as Aurora looked around nervously. The air feels different. It's moving toward her.
I swear her brown hair is glowing into a lighter colour and flow out.
Shit this family is not only troubled but magical.
Aimee opened her eyes and frowned, concentrating her visions to Aurora so that she can see it too.
Aurora gasped as images flashes through her head. The air feel like it's circling them faster and faster as it work.
"Woah." Aurora said, "That was very bright and colourful."
"AND COOL! Your death is associated with cats! I don't know what that mean, but it's a good hint!" Aimee exclaimed, "The colours and abstract are there as aesthetic that matches you. Doesn't really mean anything."
"... I thought you could predict how I died," Aurora was not that impressed.
"I did."
"No that was a hint of how I die."
"I can't get an exact answer, no one can. I already perfected my art of seering future death so take it or leave it." Aimee turned away like a mad toddler.
"Fine, I'll take it," She replied, rolling her eyes. "Can you predict anyone death?"
"Yup. Anyone."
"Hmmm... whatabout.... into the past? Can you look into the past?" She looked right at me as she said it.
Aimee looked offended. "The past? No, I'm a future psychic. I see future. Predictions. Things that not yet happened. It can change due to the circumstances. Future is hard. Past is already there. Why would we study history when we can look to build a better future."
"So-"
"If you want to see the past, then I'm sure Aunt Elizabeth can track down one of our family member who can do that."
Then I can find out how I died.
"Yeah because our family all have powers." Well Aurora, you seem pretty chill with getting to know how you die by someone in your family.
"Not all. Some of us do, but it's not big enough to be noticeable. Some people go through their entire life believing that it's just a talent, not knowing that it's a power to put to use."
She looked at Aimee weirdly. "But how do you inherits the power if you're adopted?"
She looked back with a horrified expression.
"I'M WHAT?"
"Do you not know where babies come from?"
"THE STORK? BUT I'M WHAT NOW?"
