April told me about her entire flashback, then she asked me again.
"I was not very kind to you, why did try to stop me?"
"I don't know. Maybe because I couldn't just go, 'slay bitch go die!'" I shrugged. She looked at me with questioning eyes, then shook it off.
"I want to see my parents," She declares, "I know where the house is now."
I sighed. I'm still in trouble with my parents, so I don't know if I could. But then they are on the verge of a divorce right now.
"Why?" I asked her. April just shrugged and float over to my desk to do something.
"I want to know my unfinished task or whatever. That wasn't part of my flashback," She said as she picked up a comb, inspecting it.
Should we? I couldn't just go through the front door. And how is her parents supposed to talk to her?
"How would they see you?" I asked as I snatched the comb away from her.
"I don't know? Can't you give transfer power to them so they can me? Like in movies, when you hold hands and then suddenly they can see what you see!" She suggested.
"How would that work?" I was unconvinced as I fiddled with my bracelet.
"I don't know??? First we need to find a was there. You drive right? Cause the house is far away." No, don't ask me about that. Please no.
I chuckled, "So you know that car that crashed into the party you mentioned?"
She gasped, "Don't tell me....."
"Yeah so funny story errrrm...... so I may had let an intrusive thought win and put the driving instructor into a coma? And got myself banned from learning how to drive until I'm at least 20?" I gave an innocent smile.
"Oh... um what exactly did you do?"
"Nothing, he's just annoying and then I crashed cause my brain told me so. I didn't get to go to my coping mechanism during the time of me learning how to drive as much so ya. The case decided I was acting due to "underlying mental condition" so I'm just... y'know banned from driving and ummm they'll decide further more when the guy wake up from his coma."
"HE'S STILL IN A COMA?" She was so surprised, don't know why she would be.
"It had been like a year. If I'm lucky he stay like that until after I die." I shrugged. "But enough about me, so what's the house address?"
"Ummm.... I don't think I can remember right now. I know the way to get there!"
I nodded and put my hair up in a ponytail and put on a pair of sneaker. The window is wide open and I should parkour jump out of there.
Climbing out the roof, I heard as April closed the window behind me. I opened it again, make it look like I've run away. Out of my peripheral vision, I saw Harry (haven't seen him in a while) walked in.
But before he could react I jumped out and away.
==========
Dolores' house is a huge place. Look like a mansion almost. No wonder Heather wanted to hang out with her.
The outside already showed a huge driveway with a FOUNTAIN!?!? in the yard with MARBLE?!?! fencing. There are EXPENSIVE!?!?! lights outside with a RICH!?!?! coat of paint.
"You were...rich..." I said in awe.
"Eeeeh I mean sure? My dad worked as a neurologist and my mom helped with prime minister campaign or something," She just shrugged like it's no big deal.
We head up to the front steps.
"Wait. What do I say? 'Hi ma'am and sir, your dead daughter would love to talk to you right now. Oh no, it's not a prank, she's here in the form of a ghost.' No one believes that stuff. Your parents sound like science people," I said, "You could still be part of my delusion for all I know."
"Girl. Just do it."
"Don't 'girl' me, how are you planning to speak to them?"
April stood with silence. "O-Ouija board?"
"Try harder."
"Blood on mirror? The Chamber of Secret had been open, enemies of the heir, beware?" She quoted.
"No!"
"Is there a right answer?"
I sighed and put my finger on the doorbell, about to ring in. But then the door opened before I had a chance.
In front of me was a butler or an underling, dressed in an elegant tuxedo with a neatly brushed hair and mustachio. Just how rich and upper-class is Dolores?
My mouth hanged open a bit, but then I quickly said, "Hi..."
"We see you had been standing here for a while," He said, glaring at me, "The mister would like you to come in."
What?? Are we in the olden time now? Whatever, I stepped in, took off my shoes, and followed him in this maze of a house. What a beautiful place, decorated with the most expensive things and it is sparkling clean. The carpet is so fluffy.
We finally reached the living room, where a man and a woman sat on a white leather couch. The room was huge, there was a big screen TV on the wall, a glass coffee table with a pot of flower in front of the couch. The walls have shelves displaying random cool stuff wild the floor have a single white fluffy carpet on it.
Opposite to that couch, there is another identical one. And someone occupied it. There sat Hudson.
Heather had sent out a henchman.
"We see you outside young lady" The man said. He got deep black hair and wearing a purple polo shirt. "What do you want?"
Ain't no way he called me 'young lady'.
"Um... I'm a boy..." I corrected them.
"Boys don't have long frilly hairs, we are in the modern world," April's mom said, sipping tea- where did the tea come from.
Whatever that's not important, "Okay whatever- I'm here to speak with you about your daughter."
"That's what this young fellow is here about to." The woman gestured toward Hudson. She has her auburn hair in a braid bun, staring at me with her brown eyes. "He's here to... apologize. Took him long enough it had been months since her death. Please, have a seat."
"I don't think we know who you are," Her father stated, raising his eyebrows, "It's not like she have any friends."
I tensely sat down next to Hudson, who had found a deep interest in the carpet, because he was staring at it the whole time.
I don't know much about him, but I can imagine him going 'ah yes, my new hyperfixation on rugs and carpet. i love studying them.
April floated just in between her parents, looking right at me. I could see the similarity. They really succeeded in 'beauty breeding' the good traits definitely won.
"Gael," She said in a serious tone, "Repeat after me."
