tw: hudson hates cat and cat people
With Nolan's ghost flashlight at maximum radius, I could see the spirits of whatever coming out of the drawing. They were blinding like the sun.
Gael fell backwards and onto me, luckily, I caught him before we take a tumble. He's unconscious again.
And some part of my subconscious mind decided that he was dead. And dead bodies are gross so I suddenly jumped and dropped him.
Aurora poked him with a stick, "he's probably dead," she said. He started snoring to prove her wrong.
Before I could say anything, the illuminating lights caught my attention.
It dies down, I can make out the shape of the things that just came.
Animals.
Ghost animals.
Aurora took a step back as the critters ran everywhere. While Emery stepped forward, muttering "unbelievable."
A bunny hopped on Jade's lap, she tried to pet it but her hand went right through.
"Woah..." She said, "I didn't know animals also turn into ghosts."
I noticed that the flower bouquets at each grave were now wilted and turning into dust. That's quite sad for whoever left them there.
A familiar figure stepped into the visible spectrum. Dolores.
"Dolores?" I called. She made no sense the last time I saw her. Gael had said something about her planning murders to us, but I was so confused. Why would she do that if Heather was the exact reason why she left. She hated it.
She didn't answer, but I did heard other voices. "KILL THEM NOW!" Some energetic voice yelled.
More ghosts stepped into the light and some big ghost shot something at me, but missed by a whole foot. The memorials behind me exploded into tiny bits.
"GHOSTS WITH FIREARM!?!?!" Emery screamed, pointing at it. Aurora let out a high pitch scream. This feels like a fever dream.
The ghost bunny on Jade's lap hopped off and bit the ghost, he yelped, "I'M GONNA GET RABIES!"
"YOU'RE DEAD!" Some other ghost shouted back.
"UNDEAD RABIES!"
Jade slowly wheeled away from the scene, I watch as she goes. "Where are you going?"
"Away," She said like it was obvious. And it kind of is. "I suggest you do the same." Emery followed and grabbed Aurora's wrist to pull her away from the danger too. Nolan, being a bit slow, stood like a deer in headlight, still shining on the ghosts.
More ghosts appeared and one of them decided to set fire to everything. The graveyard is a dry place, so of course it catches on everything.
"Okay that was a nice nap," I heard Gael mumbled on the ground, he sat up and rubbed his eyes, "What did I miss?" He looked around, "Oh." He took a deep breath and stood up, rummaging through his backpack. He tossed me something and I caught it.
"An apple?" I asked. It red shiny plastic looking thing.
"Oh no," He said, "I mean sure keep it. You can give some ghosts concussions later. Just hold it." He looked in his bag and pulled out a cat. Not just any cat, the grumpy white princess one. Princess was here with us. "Ghosts are like allergic to them."
"Like me..." The cat looked at me and hissed. His eyes shined and glows in the dark, it does silly thing.
I believe in this world, there is only 1 division that should matter between humanity. Cat people and dog people. You have to be one of them, can't be both or neither. Like there's no such thing as a hamster person, you can like hamsters, but deep down, you are either a cat or a dog person.
With that being said, as a dog person, cat people are evil and horrible. What are you doing with a devil in your hand every 5 seconds? (HOLDUP ISNT THIS JUST A NEW FORM OF DISCRIMINATION??)
His cat looked at me like a cartoon character, it's ready to attack and eat me up alive. I took a step back just in case. Also so that my allergies don't act up.
"Nolan! Lock in!" Gael yelled at his best friend, "Catch him!" He chucked the cat across the air. Princess were surprisingly calm for being thrown into the air like that. The myth of cats always landing on their feet must be true.
In exchange for the cat, he dropped the flashlight, but it was still on to see that ghosts all scattered away, including the animals. It was like a colony of ants when you step on it's hive. The light ran out of battery and quickly, it was just a normal eerie yard, nothing peculiar. I mean if you ignore the fire.
"Wow the cat worked, even on the human," Nolan said in awe, walking over to us. "Why is he larger than the last time I saw him?"
My nose itches as he got closer and my eyes watered.
"MEWWOFHOHFUSHUIHSUHSHFFHFHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW UWU" The cat meowed loudly and fidgetted in Nolan's arm.
"Okay, they're still here," Gael said, "So we should get out. The fire is still running." He suddenly climbed onto the air and sat on it like the back of a horse. What's going on now?
He extended his arm toward us, "Come on!" Nolan grabbed his hand and got pulled up. He too was now in thin air. My brain is not loading correctly. Is something actually there and I can't see it?
"This is so cool," Nolan mumbled, giving me his hand, "Come on Hudson! This is really cool."
I hesitated, then took his hand and got pulled up, sitting behind him. Am I on a horse? I feel fur.
Suddenly, whatever we were sitting on started to walk, then ran away from the fire. I quickly latched onto Nolan to not fall off. But the cat were on his head so I just felt horrible the whole time.
"Quick question Gael," Nolan yelled, "What are we on?" We were going so fast, the fire flickered so much, I could barely hear him.
"Don't worry I rode on a horse like once!" The reply came, "when I was 11!"
"I trust you with my life, but I really need to know what we're sitting on!"
"A moose!" A what now? "Don't worry, he's friendly."
"ARE WE RIDING ON A DEAD MOOSE!?" I screamed. I want to get off. I really want to get off.
Suddenly, we all slammed to a stop, falling forward. I faceplanted on Nolan's back, then pulled myself back up again to sit up straight. "What happened?" I mumbled.
There was nothing there, the fire is slowly catching up to us. Just how big is this graveyard anyway? Where are the girls at? For the first time, I noticed the details on the tree trunks. Little white pentagrams.
Every tree have it, like an eye on each of the barks, watching us.
"They weaved a web around us..." I heard Gael said, I sneezed. Princess looked at me with his evil cat eyes. "There's one in front of us." He pointed to the empty in front of us.
There was the rustle of the wind and I heard a crunch behind us. Someone was there too, with a real living flesh body.
"THERE'S ONE BEHIND YOU!" I turned first, my eyes watering from cat.
You're not gonna believe this, standing behind us was none other than my twin sister. Heather.
