A Jedi's Tale - The Story of Jay Lyon

The Hero's Story Begins

For years, there have been stories of many Jedi and Sith. Tales of the Rise and Fall of Anakin Skywalker, the gallantry of Obi Wan Kenobi, the savagery of Darth Maul, the wise old tale of Grand Master Yoda and many others. But, there is one story that has to be told. That Jedi is a man named Jay Lyon. Having been the apprentice of one of the Jedi council named Mace Windu, and come from a long line of Jedi, Jay has been through four wars, trained three apprentices, commanded three units and fought many villains in his life. His story began on planet on Coruscant.

Jay and his twin sister, Alex, was born on January 17th, 1996, 42 years before The Battle of Yavin, to Jedi Masters Karth Lyon and Siar Lyon. Jay's Parents marriage was kept secret from the Jedi Order, due to attachments being forbidden. The only ones who knows are Jedi Master Dooku, Jedi Knight Qui Gon Jinn, Padawan Obi Wan Kenobi, a few members of the Lyon family, Siar's sister, Sadi Kollita, the Wolffee Family & the Frihard Family. The Parents of Jar Wolffee, named Dearic and Katshay Wolffee, was born three years before Jay and was enrolled at The Jedi Academy. Throughout Jay's and Alex's infant life, their parents went on side missions while The Wolffee Family, Dooku, Qui Gon and Obi Wan watched over them. Everything was going well from them, sadly it didn't last long.

Dusk fall on Coruscant and at an apartment owned by the Lyon Family. Karth had returned from reporting to the council from a mission. Karth, who was twenty five years old, was a bearded Jedi Knight with brown neck length hair. He wore Jedi robes with a white inner tunic, tan outer tunic, tan tabards, tan obi, khaki pants, brown belt and brown boots. He took off his brown cloak and placed his lightsaber on a small, round table. Round the corner to greet Karth is his wife, Siar. She, at the age of twenty four, has long waist length brown hair, which was tied up on a ponytail. Like Karth, she wore Jedi robes but with a dark brown inner tunic, khaki outer tunic, khaki tabards, khaki obi, brown belt and brown boots. She was also pregnant with her third child. Upon seeing her husband home, she walked over and greeted him sweetly with a kiss on his cheek. "Welcome home, dear" She said. Karth returned the favor, but on the lips. "Did you miss me?" He asked with a smile. "Very much." She replied with a smile as she wrapped her arms around him. Together, they walked to the kids room, to where Jay and Alex, who were eleven months old, are asleep. Karth walked in to the room and placed his hand on Jay's infant head and gently rubbed his head. Then, gently, he kissed Jay on the head. Then, he moved to Alex and did the same thing he did to Jay. Siar, who was standing in the doorway, watching Karth, smiled while having her hand on her pregnant belly. Then, she became concern regrading the twins and their unborn child. "Do you think they will take them in?" She asked. "Of course they will." He replied, assuring her. "They will protected and we have friends who will protect them." "Our babies will help the Jedi and the Republic change everything." She said. "I don't know if Chancellor Valorum will help us. And if the Council discover we are the parents, we will be expelled." I-I know." Karth stammered, trying to push those thoughts out of his mind. "I know." "Do you think Master Yoda can help us?" "I could try to get him to help us." He said, as he remembers Yoda's teachings and his kind and gentle nature. Comforting a worried Siar, Karth kissed her on the forehead as a sign of reassurance

Then, both Karth and Siar felt a disturbance in the Force. She looked around, trying to detect where is this coming from. Grabbing their sabers and cloaks, they prepare to head out to find the source of this darkness. Karth instructed their protect droid to lock down the apartment and watch over the kids until they return or the Jedi arrive. Grabbing his comlink, Karth pressed a button on it, signaling for help at their location. Due to Siar's condition, Karth told her to stay behind him and watch his flank. Taking a lift down to ground level of their apartment building, they began their search for who or what ever this darkness may be. Then, the area got colder and colder as they search. Suddenly, a towering dark, shadowy figure jumped down and stood in front of them and ignite a crimson red blade. Both Karth and Siar ignite their sabers and readied themselves for battle. Karth, still in front of Siar, readied himself and attack the figure to protect the person he love. The beams of their lightsabers hummed and clashed as they moved away from the apartment. The figure defended himself effortlessly as their duel took them away from the apartment and away from Jay and Alex.

Siar struck from the front. Unfortunately, the figure moved faster, extending it's left hand towards Siar as it used the Force to life the Jedi off her feet. As Siar struggle to get free, Karth swung at the figure from the front, but it kicked Karth's stomach with his left foot, smashing him against a nearby wall. Then, The Figure summoned Siar over to him and grabbed her by the neck and held her up. Siar tried to cut the figure's head off, but the figure grabbed her saber arm, causing Siar to drop her saber. Then, She gazed at the figure and gasped. It was a bearded man with eyes of a Sith. This is impossible. The Sith are extinct. The figure was identified was Ven Hamall, the fallen apprentice of Jedi Master Jaykai Lyon of the old Republic. In the year 1510, 538 years before the Battle of Yavin, Jedi Master Jaykai Lyon had an apprentice named Ven Hamall, who was slipping to The Dark Side. He later confront him and there, he turned on him and tried to kill him. Master Lyon must have thought he was dead. But, when he came to, he saw half of the temple was destroyed. Dead Jedi Masters, Knights and Padawan were lying on ground, pillars were down, there were lightsaber marks on the ground and walls and smoke and fire billowed from areas that had signs of a fight. It was said he left with a handful of Jedi and slaughtered half of the order. The only one who witnessed the slaughter was a 368 year old Yoda and survived. Yoda blamed Ven for this attack and this act of betrayal but, really, it was Jaykai; he failed to see Ven becoming The Sith Menace, Darth Phantom. After the betrayal of Ven Hamall, during the temple's reconstruction, Jaykai entered a cryo-cycle stasis pod, were he remains frozen to this day. Years later, his fallen apprentice practiced The Ways of The Sith and, like his former master, he entered a cryo-cycle stasis pod. Now, released by Darth Sidious, who was really Sheev Palpatine, he became more twisted and evil by The Dark Side of The Force. At last, Phantom spoke. "So much fear, my friend." He said in a soothing, menacing voice as he brought Siar towards him. "You are no match for what is to come you Jedi Filth." He continued. He raised his hand and slowly waved his hand, using The Force to put her to sleep. Then, Karth arrived with Dooku, Obi Wan & Qui Gon in time to save Siar. Their lightsabers were ignited ready to fight. "Let go of her, now!" Karth said as he pointed his lightsaber at Phantom. The Figure turned his head to see three Jedi and stepped in the light, revealing a tall black hair and bearded man with black robes. Karth slowly his saber in surprise. He gazed at him at the man and called out his real name. "Ven Hamall?" He asked, recognizing his ancestor's apprentice, who should have been dead. Then, Ven dropped Siar and summoned Karth over to him with The Force, grabbing him by the neck. "There is no Ven Hamall, only Darth Phantom." Ven said. Karth became even more surprised by that statement made by his ancestor's apprentice. "Ven Hamall was weak. I destroyed him. Your ancestor tried to kill me for sensing my true power and feared it. Now, you and the other Jedi will share the same fate as he did." Phantom said as he put Karth to sleep. Picking up Siar, Phantom pressed a button on his gauntlet, calling for a ship. He stopped and faced The Jedi one more time before departing. "Follow and they die." He said coldly. Seeing his ship fast approaching, he extended his hand and, using the Force, pushed the Jedi away. Using the Force again, he jumped up and landed on his ship. Dooku and Qui Gon recovered and saw Phantom's ship fly up and went to lightspeed. They were too late to save them. There was no doubt, The Sith have returned. They wouldn't make it official until 2001, thirty two years before the Battle of Yavin.

When news of Karth and Siar's capture reached the Jedi Temple, the council was shocked and began investigating the matter. The Wolffee Family was devastated with the capture of their friends. As a promise, if they get captured, they will watch over the children. The Parents of Jar Wolffee visited Master Yoda in his chamber and told him about The Parents of Jay Lyon and their marriage. They told him that we will watch over them. Yoda was taken by surprise and decided to have the twins split up, to be protected. Master Saesee Tiin is to take and train Alex and Mace Windu will take and train Jay. "In time, meet they will." Yoda would go on to say. "In time, they will learn." He finished. Dearic and Katshay Wolffee nodded and thanked Master Yoda. They can tell they will become great and powerful Jedi. They have confidence Jay and Alex Lyon. They have bright future ahead of them.
