A Mission To Protect A Priestess

A month passed after the mission to the Hidden Stone Border. Both Yukari and Yusagi passed their tests and joined the Hidden Leaf. James and Martin fully became Jedi and joined the 1st. They agreed to help out on missions from the Republic if called on. Before departing to the 1st, Kandra told James to watch over his brother, after being told about his temper and the history relating to his temper. He temper was on display during a mission while protecting a priestess from The Land of Ogres.

The spirit of Mōryō, a powerful demon, has awaken and on the verge of destroying the world to create his "Thousand Year Kingdom". The only threat to Mōryō's plan was a priestess known as Shion, who could seal his spirit away once more. With help from Separatists Forces as his reinforcements, he raised a stone army from their slumber, to attack the rest of the world, while his four subordinates went to murder Shion. They were given special chakra creatures to enhance their strength. At The Hidden Leaf, Shinobi were dispatched, along with Republic Forces. The 1st Militia, reinforced with The 104th Battalion, aka The Wolf Pack, commanded by Jedi Master Plo Koon and Senth Platoon, commanded Jedi Master Skere Garen. Neji Hyuga, The Jonin in charge of Rock Lee, Sakura Haruno and Naruto Uzumaki, gather instructions to his comrades, the 1st, the 104th, the 5th Regiment, Zusho Battalion and Senth Platoon. After giving out instructions, They moved out to The Land of Orges. Along the way, Jay once one trooper, named Vex, from Senth Platoon was chatting with Naruto. As Vex and Naruto catch up on what was going on, Jay noticed a long red mark going down her helmet. What he learn, after reading reports from The Tenchi Bridge, that both Vex and Sakura were wounded by Naruto when in The Nine Tails State during his fight with Orochimaru. Naruto was in The Nine Tails State. When the fourth tail appeared, he was cloaked in The Nine Tail's chakra. He was, later, pinned against the side of a cliff by Orochimaru's Sword of Kusanagi. However, the Sword of Kusanagi is unable to pierce Naruto's body due to the Nine-Tails' chakra coating it. Sakura, with tears in her eyes, ran to her friend, trying to get him to stop and promises to bring back Sasuke. At that moment, Vex rushed to stop her from getting killed. She attempts to tell Naruto to change back, but Naruto simply smacks her aside with his tail, harming her. Vex, herself, was wounded in the face, making a gash on the right side of her face, with a gash missing her right eye. Kabuto heads towards Sakura and Vex, and Yamato, believing that he is about to finish off a wounded Sakura and Vex, binds him, just as he binds Naruto from doing anymore damage. Kabuto tells him that he is actually attempting to save Sakura and Vex, and he heals their wounds to the best of his ability. After the mission, after rejoining The Republic, Senth Platoon returned to Kamino. They cleaned their armor and put markings on it. Vex, in particular, dyed her hair pink to pay homage to Sakura and added three whisker markings on her cheeks to pay homage to Naruto. On her helmet, she added a red stripe over her wounded face, like her brother Hock, CT-5539, of The 501st and added The Hidden Leaf Crest on the left side of her helmet to pay homage to The Hidden Leaf.

Once arriving in Land of Orges, They got into a brief entanglement with Yomi's subordinates and BX Commando Droids. Many of those protecting the shrine fell, but they pushed back the enemy. Once they made Shion, she acted very selfishly towards everyone, believing that she was far more important than anyone; as shown by her lack of care for anyone around her, even her dedicated followers. She was like that until the end of the mission. She did, however, inherited the gift of predicting the future; this gift was proven to be very accurate, which led many people to shun her in fear, leaving her isolated and lonely, with only her mother to comfort and accompany her. She told Jay and General Lyons, after the mission, that she saw not only Naruto's Death, but General Dawson's exile, Martin's fall to The Dark Side. Jay told her you can't change your fate, but your free will can postpone it. During the mission, she would question Martin and connection to The American South. Martin told her he was conscript of The Confederate Army and hated every minute of it, as well as slavery. Shion asked Martin about The Confederacy and it's connection to Slavery, thinking he was one of them. Martin told her they were a nation of traitors, criminals and racists and wants nothing to do with them. As they continue to talk, Jay could sense Martin's anger boiling, like a cookpot. Martin angrily walked over to her, and told her "If you call me a Reb one more time, I will feed you to a bear!" James, held him back, tell him to calm down and control your temper. Still riled up, he left to cool off. James, along with Josiah and Ezekiel, defended Martin, apologizes. He said he doesn't like talking about The Confederacy. Jay has known Martin since Thunder Mesa. He said, in his journal, that Martin is really is a nice guy. But, he didn't know he has so much anger towards the Confederate South. According to his research, after Thunder Mesa, the principle target towards the Confederacy was not only Slavery, but towards one Confederate General - Nathan Beford Forrest. Due to his actions at Fort Pillow, Martin deserted The Confederate Army and joined The Union Army. After he joined, he renounced The Confederacy and burned his conscription notice. During his travel to find The Union Army, He and his family was travel with an African American family, escaping slavery. One man, named Michael John Smith, joined the Union Army. Later, he joined Memphis Battery Light Artillery and was at Fort Pillow. It is said he escape the massacre with help by a Confederate Conscript in Forrest Corps. He helped him escaped and hid him in and Union Friendly area. To that day, no one knows what happened to Smith and the Confederate who help him escape and survived The Massacre at Fort Pillow. But, for Martin, it hurts him deeply. To a Jedi, attachments are forbidden and anger is one of the paths leading to the Dark Side.
