With the Galactic Civil War over, Soldiers and Officers, both Rebel and Imperial, a few of them, laid down their arms and went home, refusing to take up arms and fight the New Republic. Although the Empire, or what's left of it, is still out there, Military Units patrol the area for any Imperial Remnant. Back on Earth, Imperial Prisoners were being released and given a parole until properly exchange. Military units acted a police force, keeping peace and order so no further blood can spill. But as the Allies & New Republic help rebuild, they also prepare a trial; a trial similar to the famed Nuremberg Trials of 1945-46.
As the Allies prepare for trial, Jay and his troops returned home to a hero's welcome. President Lyons welcomed every one home and had made plans with government authorities for a formal review to honor the troops. At 9:00 a.m. on a bright sunny May 23, the anniversary of the death of Palpatine, a signal gun fired a single shot and Lieutenant General James Burns, led the estimated 90,000 men of Army of the Free down the streets of Washington from Capitol Hill down Pennsylvania Avenue past crowds that numbered into the thousands. The infantry marched with 12 men across the road, followed by the divisional and corps artillery, then an array of American Battle Droids regiments and United States Clone Troop that stretched for another seven miles. The mood was one of gaiety and celebration, and the crowds and soldiers frequently engaged in singing patriotic songs as the procession of victorious soldiers snaked its way towards the reviewing stand in front of the White House, where President Lyons, Commanding General Isaac Taylor, Clone General Rico, senior military leaders, the Cabinet, and leading government officials awaited. At the head of his troops, Burns dismounted when he arrived at the reviewing stand and joined the dignitaries to salute his men, who passed for over six hours. On the following day at 10:00 a.m., Jay led his troops of the 76th Legion and the 1st Rebel Regiment. Joining them is the 69th Legion and 241st Battalion and other Clone units. For six hours under bright sunshine, the troops now paraded in front of joyous throngs lining the sidewalks. People peered from windows and rooftops for their first glimpse of this western army. Unlike Burn's army, which had more military precision, Lyon's clone troops were dressed in the armor they were during the Clone Wars and the troops of the 1st Rebel Regiment were dressed in their dressed in their dress parade attire with brass buttons and bayonets gleaming in the sun light. As they march down Pennsylvania Avenue, the troops of the 1st Rebel Regiment sang the Battle Hymn of The Republic as they march down, to honor their fallen brothers in arms from their conflicts they served in.
As celebrations come to end and preparations for a trial resumes, Jay was back in Fort America, meditating in his quarters. With the Soul Reaper Pass he has from Yachi, he was torn. He knows he doesn't want to hurt Isane's feelings after Unohana was cloned to serve the Sith. He told Head Captain Kyōraku and those around him, but chose to not tell Isane. He feared, during the war, she would get involve and would end up getting killed or joining the Empire. He asked for his masters to help him, asking to help him what to do with telling Isane. Finally, Jay found the courage to travel to the Soul Society and make his way to Squad 4's Headquarters. When he was at the door of Captain Kotetsu's Office, he made an attempt to knock on the office door, but was stopped when he was overcome with a notion. Something was telling him not to do it. He tried again, but the same notion stopped him. He couldn't do it. He was the verge of giving up and leaving the pass, but he was stopped by Nanao, with Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker. Mara was carrying two babies, fraternal twins named Cade and Keela Skywalker. They were born one year and five days after the Battle of Endor. Their cousins, Jacen, Jania & Ben were born before them, one year and four days after the Battle of Endor. With them, is Chiru Hana and Yachi Renohana. As a precaution, Jay had her wait outside until called upon. Finding the courage again, Jay knocked on the door. But, deep down, he was worried. When they entered, he was surprised to find not on Isane, but Rukia and Rangiku.
