Description: This is a What If story with two separate parts, the first is: What If Natasha had gotten Yelena out of the plane before they could go to Cuba and then further the Red Room? And: What If the Avengers and the Ohio mission took place at the same time, and Clint and Coulson were sent to stop the Russian spies? This story follows Yelena and Clint as Yelena struggles on her own to follow Natasha's instructions, and Clint tries to piece together what happened to the scared little girl he found hiding behind a tent.

There will be a part two to this chapter once I get around to writing it.

This chapter also doesn't have a lot of Natasha, but she is an important part and will become even more important in the second part.

Please comment requests and any spelling and/or grammatical mistakes since my chapters are unedited.

Natasha gripped Yelena's shoulders and stared at the six-year-old; the headlights flickered over Natasha's face, illuminating the seriousness in her expression. "You have to go," Natasha said, loud enough that Yelena could hear, but quiet enough that Melina couldn't.

Yelena's head snapped up. She looked positively terrified.

"You have to go. You're going to get out of this plane and run—run as fast and far away as you can. Don't look back, forget about me," Natasha continued.

The plane was gathering speed and the gunshots were growing quieter behind them; the girls distantly heard a car crashing into another.

Tears ran down Natasha and Yelena's cheeks and dirt covered their faces. Yelena had never seen her big sister cry.

The door to the small plane was behind Yelena and Natasha reached over to push it open.

Melina's gaze flickered to them, then back to the steering wheel. "Natasha, what are you doing?" But the question came out more desperate than she'd intended because of the intense circumstances.

Alexei yelped from the plane wing and gripped onto it tighter.

Natasha felt the hair on the back of her neck rise and she leaned forward slightly to avoid a bullet that would have gone straight through her head.

"Go, Yelena!" Natasha yelled frantically.

The plane was getting faster and faster; soon it would take off and Yelena would have no chance of escape.

"I need you!" Yelena screeched. She gasped as a bullet impeded itself into the seat in front of her.

"They'd come back for me—you have to go. Now!"

Yelena could survive the fall from a moving vehicle, but Natasha didn't know what would happen to her little sister in the Red Room. Her chance of dying there was higher than her chance of living.

"Natasha!" Melina yelled—this situation was not going well for her success in the mission. "Don't!"

"I love you," Natasha just barely managed to gasp out before she pushed Yelena out of the plane.

The light flashing over Natasha's face made her look so fierce; so tough; so young.

Then the airplane took off, leaving Yelena behind.
