Description: The only memories Natasha Romanoff has of Christmas are of empty boxes, fake smiles for the camera, and her sister's disappointed expression afterward. So, she doesn't know what to expect when Clint takes her to his house soon after saving her in Budapest and tries his hardest to show her what Christmas is all about—with a little help from his wife and kids, of course.

Ships: Platonic Clintasha

Major Characters: Natasha, Clint, Laura, Cooper, Lila

Minor Characters: Fury

The ages, locations, and overall storyline are different from "Auntie Nat?", although there are some similarities.

The ages of Cooper and Lila are not specified in Age of Ultron, and there is, like, a two or three year age-range that they could fall in, so their ages in this chapter are on the older end of the range, while in "Auntie Nat?" it was the younger end. This takes place around 2008 or 2009; Cooper is six and Lila is four.

Sorry it took me so long to get this chapter out, I had a lot of major tests this week in school (I swear, teachers plan it so all of our major assignments are on the same day, and then wonder why our mental health is so bad). Plus, there were a ton of plumbing problems at my house, so I had to stay in a hotel for a couple of days. I hope this chapter being very long will help make up for it.

The layout of Clint's house might be a little wrong, because I'm just going off of what I remember from Age of Ultron.

I was originally going to make their chapter stretch over several days, but I was still setting up the plot after, like, three thousand words, so I decided to shorten the Christmas celebrations to just being in one night.

The next chapter will be "Agent Romanoff, Mission Report," (Part 2), requested by Ta1iaRomanoff, then a chapter that I have an idea for, then I am taking more requests, if anyone has one.

This chapter was requested by 44emma_romanoff. Hope this was at least somewhat like what you wanted!

Some of the technology is a bit inaccurate, and there was a lot of Google and trying to remember what it was like in 2008 or 2009, but I wrote it to the best of my ability, and did not go far into detail.

It is not a matter of whether or not one believes in love; it is a question of if they are willing to accept it if it is staring them in the face. Natasha was the best example of this.

Before Clint, Natasha Romanoff believed in many things. She believed that pain and suffering were two different things; she believed in life after death simply so she could have something to look forward to; she believed that ballet was the most excruciating sport of them all.

But before Clint, she did not believe in love. Or freedom. Or happiness.

Clint had first come on a chilly day in mid-November. He was an apprentice at the very theater Natasha was halfway through executing a mission in. Clint stuck out to her as someone dangerous right away. For one, he did not speak any Russian. And for another, he took a particular interest in here—something no one ever had. He would wander around the audience while she practiced and performed her ballet routine, pretending to be inspecting the stage lights or something, but she saw his eyes wander to her. Someone would ask him a question in Russian, and his attention would immediately go to her, looking for a heavily-accented translation in her fake accent.
