yes this took me a lot of brainpower bc i literally have no ideas.. ill do an argenti next time maybe but like i have no motivation rn.

 i originally was going to do like a longer blade being jealous one but like i didn't know what else to add so i just made it fluff too. i spend most time thinking abt it instead of actually writing it

prior to delving more into blade's viewpoint on jealousy, it is crucial to acknowledge that his feelings and methods of coping stem from his past. being immortal and all, he was faced with many betrayals, so automatically he would be protective over what he had.

he was meant to set it down after he figured out how to properly and healthily embalm his emotions, but when he pushes it too far, it feels like he is dragging a sack of bricks behind him.

having said that, he tries to be more subdued now that he's in a relationship with you because, above all, blade doesn't want to frighten or alienate you.

the nightmares he would have about losing you were like dry ice burning in him. he just can't bear the thought of it.

you understand the depth of blade's fear and appreciate his efforts to overcome it, but he shouldn't hurt anyone just because of his jealousy, as you told him.

"right, right." blade gives a head shake. "i am trying my best," and he wraps his arms around you. he speaks in a way that leaves his words hanging while you look at him with a barely noticeable smile.

you nod at him. "i know. thank you." he says nothing and simply holds you tighter. the silence hangs in the air, but it's not an uncomfortable one at all.

how could it be that all that was waiting for you in his powerful grip was love? sincere, selfless, and tolerant love. every time blade sees you, he can finally let go of his icy manner and surrender to your embrace, at least for a little while.

in that moment, he shows the depth of his vulnerability and the weight he carries on his shoulders. your presence is a refuge for him, a safe haven where he can momentarily escape the burdens of his immortal life.

blade's eyes soften as he looks at you, revealing a glimpse of the emptiness he hides behind the exterior he built up so many years ago. your connection with him goes beyond words, as you become his solace in a world that constantly demands his all, for so long.
