Before the video call:

Let's just say you weren't having the best day ever. It was dreadful to miss your other half for the whole day. Thinking about a person you miss from kilometers and kilometers away is extremely torturing, according to every single person you tirelessly spoke to in the spam of a day.

But, oh, once you received that text notification—a call request from your one and only? Oh, how your eyes gleamed and sparkled, as if you had regained all the energy you had lost.

During the call:

There you were, gazing at the screen with all the affection in the world that displayed your boyfriend from far away, through an iPhone 13 screen—something that lit up not only your room but your heart.

Heizou rests back on the chair and groans, still clad in his basketball jersey and shorts. He makes an annoyed and tired expression, scrunching up his face to make you giggle.

"Was it that bad?" You snickered and he gave you an annoyed look, yet an angry, cute pout.

"AGH!!! Trust me! I don't know what type of idiot that one is but he literally nearly messed up our basketball tournament we prepped months for!" He groaned and smacked the table out of frustration.

"I could swear hes idiotic or something!!! According to my calculations, poor skills like that will bring a tiny pea-sized brain!!!" He shouts, "Thank god I freaking saved him from missing that final shot. I swear if he made another illegal move."

"Woah, slow down," you chuckled. "That bad, huh?"

He statically nods, "VERY!!!!"

You let out a laugh and shook your head. "Won?"

He calms down, huffing from how hard he ranted about it and regains normal composure on the chair. "For you, love." He smugly winks and does a hairflip but he realizes his wolf-cut hair is tied up and he does a mental facepalm.

You burst out cackling and fall to the table. He rolls his eyes and says, "Jeez!"

It was quite odd how the smart and knowledgeable Heizou would mess up in funny ways in front of you, as if he couldn't think straight while with you; he's never afraid to let down his guard around you. You really are his only.

The thought of that made your smile widen. "Gosh. You have no idea how much I adore you.." Your eyes were on him, with an endearing look in your eyes.

He tensed under your gaze and sat upright immediately on his chair with his arms on the desk, trying his best to look cool and unaffected, but yeah, he looked a bit shy and timid.

You chuckled. "What'd I do to ever deserve you?" You mumbled.

"Hold up, Leme, get a snack." He walked away and out of the screen, making you feel a little deflated by his departure. It wasn't long enough until he came back with spicy rameyeon. He smiled and sat down with the food in hand as he started to devour it.

"Why so sudden?" You asked with a little chuckle.

"Why??? Not allowed to get hungry when I'm literally looking at a delicious snack???" He wriggles his eyebrows, thinking he just dropped the best pickup line in 20 years.

Awkward silence.

You snorted and started to laugh. He sulked, rolled his eyes, and shoved the noodles up his mouth.

Your laugh started to fade out as you glanced at him with adoration.

He turned to you and turned his head. "You seem more tense and out of the zone than usual; usually you'd blink around 27932836273 times in our calls but rounded up this time, it seems you blinked less than before, as if you were saving your eyes for me???" He spoke while chewing.

"Heizou, what the he-"

"It's all according to my information." He shrugged but looked closely. "I know. Tell me what's bothering you."

"Why? Am I not allowed to admire my handsome, pretty, lovely, and adoring boyfriend?" You smiled warmly and put your cheek on your hand on the desk.

He immediately blushed and scoffed. "How are you so good at this..." He sulks and you let out a laugh.

"I know that's not the reason; you miss me, don't you?" He had a cocky smirk on, but your smile faded slightly and your eyes darted elsewhere.

"OI! EYES UP HERE!!!" He grumpily commanded, which caught you off guard. Guess he liked the attention?

"Yeah, I guess... Like... Alot..." You mumbled and sighed.

He had a concerned look on his face. "Video calls aren't enough, huh?" He spoke.

You shook your head. "Not really."

He smiled "You'll get to love me in person soon," he muttered under his breath.

"What was that??" you asked.

"Oh, nothing, hon; don't sweat about it." He winks, which made you cringe a bit but it was also quite cheeky.

"Oh Please! I bet you like this charming side of me." He winks again with a smug grin, which you roll your eyes at.

"Yeah yeah... I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" You looked out to see that it was late.

"Ah, yeah, time differences, huh? Well, alright, I'll see you." He dramatically fakes a tear and waves goodbye.

"Love you!" And so you left the call.

Heizou looked at the screen showing that the video call had ended. He gently smiled.

"I love you more... And you'll see how much I do when I see you in person tomorrow."
