In the end, only three things matter:
how much you loved,
how genuinely you lived,
and how gracefully you let go of things that aren't meant for you.

*July 2039*

About two weeks had gone by, that's what Auburn thought.

Her hand looked... it looked better than it did before.

Still a bit bruised, not swollen and most of her bones had healed.

Aaron had noticed that her hand was taking longer than expected to heal, so he had a more advanced Healer come down to the underground place they are and the Healer did some more work on her hand.

She was unable to train for three days since the Healer instructed for her hand to heal properly and smoother, she lays off on training for a few days.

Most of her bones had healed, along with her tissues and muscles. Her hand is still not completely healed, but it's remarkably better.
Her right hand still shakes, but it doesn't hurt.
Her hand is still in the process of healing, but she can finally train again.

She's been trying to get back on her feet using her right hand, but it's a struggle.

Auburn and Ellie hasn't spoke to each other since the night in the training room.

Just as she expected, the one night they had in the training room, when Ellie was being gentle and soft was just a one time thing.

Yes, they talk, here and there but it was back to the usual small talk about arguing who's turning the light off or the fact that Auburn took a minute longer in the bathroom than she usually did.

During the past couple weeks, the rest of the group had opened up a bit more. They speak to each other more often and interact, if you may, with each other a lot more.

Auburn still scared about the Assassination.
She really wants to get her head back in the game, considering her right hand was broken for a couple weeks.

She hasn't trained for a few days, so today would be her first day back in training.

Auburn hopped off her bunk bed, her eyes seeing the muscular girl who was shirtless and once again waiting for her to use the bathroom.

"Good morning," Auburn mumbled, her voice heavy with sleep as she walked to the dresser.

"It's never a good morning whilst we're in this shithole," Ellie grumbled.

Auburn snorted, but quickly cleared her throat to cover it up as she grabbed her training clothes from the dresser before going to the bathroom.

"Unless you've got fucking cocaine- I don't know why you're snorting," Ellie scoffed, sitting up to stretch.

Auburn stopped before she entered the bathroom to face her, leaning on the doorframe. "Because it's the first time you ever responded to one of my good mornings," she shrugged.

Ellie was stretching, her arms crossed as her bicep muscles flexed beautifully. Ellie put her arm behind her head, pushing her elbow down with her other hand to stretch and once again, her bicep was flexing beautifully.
