If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, i would do it again.
~ Joel Miller

About a little over a week went by.

Ellie hasn't said one word to Auburn ever since that day. She avoided her like the plague and it pained her.

Auburn been the caretaker of everyone, per usual.

She's gotten just a couple hours of sleep and she's actually eaten a bit of something.

She's been going on a few runs into the forest for things Evelyn needs, so she's seen and taken down a few walkers.

She didn't know what the note meant by 'the Dark Lord will decide if he's pleased or not with your group's effort to come back to our world!'

Pleased with what work?

How was she supposed to know what pleases the fucking Dark Lord?

She didn't know how long they'd be stuck in this world.

It was the chattering over breakfast that tore
Auburn out of her thoughts. She was sitting on the counter, watching and accompanying those who were eating.

They were running out of supplies, so as of right now, they were all eating crackers or cereal with no milk, some cookies or fruit.

She stood from the counter to go and find Ellies since she wasn't there.

Auburn wanted to talk to Ellie and if she's being
honest, it hurt her that Ellie hasn't even so much as looked at her.

She walked up the stairs and to her luck, the green eyed red head girl was just walking out of the bathroom in a change of new clothes, she was just a few feet away from Auburn.

Ellie's eyes met with hers for the first time. Her eyes were on here for the first time and it made her legs grow weak.

Ellie's eyes were the beautiful mixture of Green and brown. Glistening as her pupils dilated.

It was the flicker in Ellie's eyes that made her insides cave.

" Williams," Auburn spoke calmly, kindly.

Ellie stared at her, her eyes travelling up and down Auburn's figure before meeting with her eyes once more. " Reid," she greeted.

Auburn didn't know what to say, she really didn't.

It was the first time she even spoke to Ellie and first time she even spared her a glance.

Auburn saw Ellie's eyes briefly darting between her eyes and her lips. Her eyes broke from Ellie's , landing on her knuckles in which they were bruised.

What did you do, Ellie?

She also saw a blue, clear spiral hair tie still around her wrist.

Her hair tie.

Auburn eyes dragged back up to his grey ones. "Uh - are- er— you— are—" she stammered and she could feel her cheeks grow red.
