this is the way the world ends
this is the way the world ends
this is the way the world ends
not with a bang but a whimper
*•~~~~~~~•*

Auburn woke up the next morning in her bed,
just now basking in what happened in the
training room the night before.

Everything the night before happened so
quickly, she barely had time to register it in
the heat of the moment.

But the way Ellie's hands felt inside of her was
Something she would never forget. The way
Ellie's soft perfect lips pressed on her bare skin
and kissed her soft lips.

The way Ellie's large, veiny hand wrapped
around her neck. The way Ellie gripped her hips and helped her grind against her.

The way her sharp jaw felt beneath Auburn's
fingertips as their lips kissed lustfully. The
way Ellie's low pleasured groans hit her skin.

Ellie's voice- fucking hell- her voice.

Auburn could listen to Ellie's voice all day.

The image of Ellie's sweaty and structured body never left Auburn mind, not once. It was
something she wanted to look at forever.

Auburn's thoughts ripped from her mind when she scolded herself at thinking the way she was.

Why the fuck did she feel this way?

Not long ago Ellie gave her a nasty scar on her face and they yelled at each other viciously
these past nights they've been sharing a room.

She knew one thing though, she couldn't tell
her friends.

She knew to her core they wouldn't approve.

They would snap at her for being so stupid,
for being intimate with a former firefly.

She just knew they wouldn't approve of any of
it.

Auburn got up from bed and climbed down
the ladder. She got a glance at the Auburn girl.
she was awake.

Usual position.

Hands behind her head on the pillow, legs
crossed by the ankles.

Auburn walked to the dresser to grab clothes
before heading to the bathroom. She splashed
cold water on her face, trying to rub off the 'I
just had sex' look off her face.

She just stood there in front of the mirror for
a few long moments, staring at herself, trying
to process everything.

She came to the conclusion that she didn't
regret it, but she also knew that it probably
meant nothing to Ellie.

She had the feeling that it was just some way
to get out Ellie's anger or stress since she did
recall Ellie saying the punching bag wasn't
doing much anymore.

Did it mean anything to Auburn?

That's a question she doesn't even know the
answer to.

For the record, it did help her release some of
the stress she was beginning to get.

As the days and hours flew by, they were
getting more and more closer to the
Assassination day and it started to stress
Auburn out.
