Adrenaline curses through Aamaira's veins. The black microphone seemed to grow uglier by the seconds as Aamaira twirled the device in her hands. She barely paid any attention to the MC on stage as he introduced the next performer to the stage. For the record, there was nothing he could have said that Aamaira was unaware of. He was after all introducing her group, Luvstruck.

Today was a packed Wednesday. Earlier Luvstruck had performed at Chonbuk National University festival before they were swished away to their current engagement. Another performance. This time at Wonkwang University.

It was not a matter of reluctance. Per se. Aamaira was actually excited to perform. The college festivals so far have been great. It made her look forward to the few Luvstrack had remaining. It's just, well, today was also a pre-recording for Mnet's Checkmate Rapstar. Don't misunderstand, she was happy to be on the show. The bright lights illuminate the stage once more as the familiar hip-hop melody blares to life in the form of hard-hitting militant horns, hissing synths, sharp beats, and hard-hitting piano notes. Aamaira's body moves on its own accord to the familiar tune of her group's last comeback song.

"It's about damn time I live it up. I'm so sick of being so serious." Taeseong opens the song with his baritone vocals. "Harbored in my thoughts, almost delirious. Earned all this, but it ain't enough."

"People can say whatever, I'm toiling for somethin' grander." Sihyun sings as the formation of the choreography changes putting her in the lead of the quartet. "If it was for the money or the fame, I'd stop. To be sincere, the pain here is nuclear."

"Feels like I've sold my soul. But 'no pain is forever', Momma told me that." Kittisak opens the pre-chorus. "All these nights spent sleeping in cars. Will work out for me, I know."

"In this life, you can't have no fear," Aamaira sings raspily. "On that, my runway never looked so clear."

"Heading for the top of that pedestal." Taeseong's vocals seemed deeper than still waters as he sang. "Just in case, you wanna know."

That you oh-oh only live once." Sihyun's buttery vocals open the chorus. "So work real hard, achieve goals."

And eh-eh-ensure it's a good life." Kittisak sings, while never missing a beat in the choreography. "No regrets, do whatever feels right."

You only live once, live once." Taeseong sings the final parts of the chorus. "YOLO, YOLO, YOLO."

The post-chorus plays loudly as the four members of Luvstruck dance their hearts out, getting lost in the music.

"YOLO, YOLO, YOLO." The four idols harmonize the last lines beautifully.
