Thank you for rocking with me through all the bullshit, sorry mom, and while I wish I could say I’m never doing this again, I know if it's for the betterment of Luvstruck I’d dust off my shoes and dive head first once more. Well, maybe not the survival show aspect, but you get my drift.”
All around the staff laughs and nods in agreement.
“As this chapter closes, I may have lost the battle but I surely won hearts. Hongkyu told me earlier, Luvstruck songs are steadily rising on the domestic charts, which is a first for us, so cheers to Luvstruck. Also, man I’m bad at this. “A vacation?” Hongkyu asks. “I can’t go on vacation, I have work to do.”
“You can take a break for three days, manager-nim.” Taeseong tells him. “Also, to add to what Maira was saying. This is not long enough to be a vacation but it is just a reset, if you can call it that. I’m not sure if Hongkyu mentioned but Maira’s presence on Checkmake tripled the percentage of our online engagement so much so that at the very last minute, Waterbomb reached out wanting us to perform at this year's event. This month.”
Aamaira gasps. This was new news to her. She didn't know this booking was because of her efforts but more of a Hongkyu working his network again.
“Seeing that you guys are sharing all the news, how about this. After seeing the online engagement, and live crowd reaction to Maira, last night during the show MNET CEO approached me with an offer. They’d like for Luvstruck to participate in this year’s KCON LA.” Hongkyu states grinning proudly. “I’m currently negotiating the finalities of the contract but I think these appearances will benefit Luvstruck both domestically and internationally in time for your album announcement.”
“Did you just say album?”
“Yes! As of tomorrow, we are officially working on Luvstruck’s debut album!” Aamaira grins.
“An album? Does that mean we are going on tour?”
“The aim is to kick off the tour in the first quarter of 2018. We are short on time but the label wants it to happen and Maira, Taeseong, Kitt and Sihyun are head strong. They won’t forfeit and I fully support them in this.”
“Do you think you guys can pull it off?”
“With hard work and dedication, we can do anything.” Sihyun tells the team.
