Aamaira felt like the relaxed ambiance that filled the studio that she entered. She found it surprising that the room already had two occupants as she was used to being the first to arrive. On a good day, that is.

"I am back," she sing-songs as she greets as she recognizes the shadowy form of Teddy holed up before the mixed board. The man's obsession with wearing all black was unparalleled. She was positive if she ever had the chance to search his closet, she would not find a drop of color present.

"Maira," Teddy responds. From his tone, Aamaira could tell he was smiling from behind the mask.

"And I brought coffee!" She brandished the four-cup pulp mold cup carrier like it was a trophy.

"Nice!"Teddyy celebrates as he plucks one of the cups from the carrier. Taking the lid off the coffee cup, he pulls out a flafromf his Hoodie pocket and pours some of its contentsininton the cup. "Ready for tonight?"

"Yes. I'm so excited for whatever we'll be working on, tonight." Aamaira nods. She looks around the room noticing how two persons were missing. She knew Lalisa had dance practice today, hence she would be running a little late. "Where's R.tee?"

Aamaira had a habit of calling Kim Junggu by his more professionally known name R. Tee instead of his given name. It was a good thing he was cool with it.

"Junggu couldn't be here tonight. He had a DJ gig in Hongdae. He asked me to apologize to you on his behalf and he also sent me some demo drafts we could choose from, as an apology."

Aamaira nods as she sips her black coffee. Yes, coffee. She was not a fan of the drink before but since being on Checkmate, she found herself resonating with the hot beverage's bitter taste.

"Hmm," Aamaira hums thinking collectively about the situation. "Let me hear them."

Taking a seat on the leather couchato at the back of the room, Aamairacontinueds sipping her coffee as Teddy plays the first snippet. It was okay. But, she could tell he was maybe riding off the high of Blackpink's Boombayah when he made it. She was not interested in creating a Blackpink knock-off' song. She wanted something fresh.

"I mean it's okay if you're thinking of making a Blackpink song but I want something that would more likely represent me, and not seem likeit'ss copying another artist," Aamaira explains.

Teddy nods saying nothing. Scrapping this snippet, he plays something new. The snippet begins with a skittish, staccato-style beat that comes off as borderline haunted as it builds momentum.

"Woo!" Aamaira exclaims as the rhythm of the beat seems to move her into this groove of sorts. Just when she did not think it could get any better, there was this sudden change in thebaselinee.

"You like like it?" Teddy asks.

Aamaira nods. "Let's build on that."

Teddy gets to work immediately and Aamaira brattles on with her ideas.

"I like the keyboard, but can we tweak it just a bit. I want it to be languid, boom-heavy, moody-piano creeper to match with the kick-snare drums. I also want the 808 to be mostly in the chorus, too. I want the outro to be R. Tee's drop. The dance break would be stellar with that playing in the background."

Teddy stays silent as he worked. Bringing Aamaira's ideas to life. In a few minutes Teddy had the full track was blasting in the studio. The instrumental a skittish, staccato-style beat that now held the languid, boom-heavy, moody-piano creeping in coming off as haunted without doing too much. The track is lurching and confident as it builds momentum playing it the trap genre as it sat in a tempo of tempo of 130 beats per minute and progresses in common time.
