Good luck. Aamaira stared at the AOA title track with an absolute disdain. The song, albeit a certified banger, is the very obvious first choice people would assume she would take after Jimin had choose her for the song exchange round. Make no mistake she, like most people when they had initially listened to Good Luck, was in love with the brassy pop record. But she also knew remaking Shin Jimin's groups's 2016 summer hit song would be cliched as everyone would have been anticipating  her to so. Aamaira drums her fingers against the desk as she stared at the monitor before her. The stellar list of AOA's title tracks seems to stare right at her in a daring manner.

The top three she was contemplating however seemed to be calling her. Egging at her to just forget about the rest. Which she would. The decesion to deliberate between these three songs was not hard, as she had already had a bias. Technically speaking, she was kind of wasting time. But, in her defense Mnet had given everyone all of seven days to prepare for the next round. She could take her time whilst contemplating for this song. At least for now. Grabbing her notebook she quikly jots down the three songs.

Aamaira then opens a new tab for YouTube. Very quickly she gives each song a quick listen. Without much deliberation, she chooses the song that resonated the most with her heart. Picking up her cellular, she quickly dials her manager. Grabbing her pen she begins writting down her ideas before she forgets them.

"Maira." Hyunkyu answers on the third ring.

"Manager-nim, I have an idea, I want to run by you first before doing it. For my next round on Checkmate, I have figured out the song I want to use but I don't want to just do a cover of AOA seonbae-nim's song."

"Okay," Hyunkyu responds. "Are you thinking of doing a sample?"

"Uh, no. The cost of doing sample is way too expensive. I don't want us to go over budget. I wanted to do an interpolation. Can you or someone on the team reach out to FNC and Brave Brothers to get the liscence for the song?"

Aamaira wanted to interpolate AOA's song as this process does not involve using any of the actual audio sounds contained in a preexisting recording. Instead, she would be creating new audio where she'd be only taking melodies and maybe a few lines from the old song to contribute to her new  recording.

"You know this is still going to cost plus they will request for writing credits and even a percentage of the publishing rights?"

"I'm cool with that. If the company doesn't want to cover the cost, and the price is something I can afford, I'll cover it."

"You sound confident, have you finished working on the song?"

"Nope." Aamaira spoke in English, popping the 'p' as she spoke. She then switches to Korean once more. "I'm in the process of starting it, though. I hoping to have it completed today, even if its just the demo. I want to have a meeting with the team this afternoon too. I just want to make sure we are all on the same page on how I would want to present my next stage."

"What time are you thinking of?" He asks.

"Can you pick the time? Please." She clicks off a software she had previously opened on her computer before continuing to speak. "Oh, also, if anything, can you remind me about the meeting later? You know how I get when I'm in the studio. I may forget."

Hongkyu laughs. "Sure, Maira. I'll get back to you on clearing that song. By the way which one of AOA's songs are you planning to use?"

At that Aamaira grins. "Oh, easy. Mini-Skirt."
