Aamaira sat amongst them, her opponents, with her hand resting against her jaw as she awaited for them to start filming. Like always, she had been early on set. She was pumped and ready, for today's activities.
"Yes, two, one." The Producer says into his microphone from the stage. He was checking if his mic was working. "Hello ladies, welcome back for another week of Checkmate: Idol Rapstar. Please be seated so we can begin filming." He walks off the stage then, yelling. "Everyone quiet on set."
"Cameras rolling. Action." The director yells.
The double doors open, and there she stood. Hyoyeon, the MC, stood in all her glory. Dressed in a sleek black sequin evening gown with her hair all sleeked back in a low ponytail. She takes her time as she walks onto the stage. Once centerstage, she cracks a small smile as she lifts the mic to her lips.
"Idols." She spoke. "Welcome to Checkmate: Idol Rapstar, I trust that you all are pumped and ready for this week's episode. This is after all where the real competition begins. The question is. Are. You. Ready?"
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
The contestants shout enthusiastically.
Aamaira cups her hands around her mouth as she shouts. "Bring it on!"
Yeeun, who was sitting to her right, shouts. "Born ready!"
Hyoyeon smiles. "This week's staging of Checkmate: Idol Rapstar will start with each contestant on equal footing. This is in an effort to ensure none of you has any type of advantage in your presentation. Through this staging, we hope you can take the live audience on a journey through your life. This is a simple mission. Without further ado, here are your instructions."
The LED screen comes to life and Aamaira perks up.

Final performances will be done in
front of a live studio audience.

record their raps within 24 hours,
where you then have 48 hours to
rehearse before performing officially
