Chemistry is a key component in making any given thing work. It was the grease in an oiled machine that kept all the gears functioning. Aamaira knew this religiously. Luvstruck would not have worked if there was no Chemistry between her and her four members. Shitz and Giggles would not have worked if she had lacked Chemistry with the featuring artist, Lalisa. It was safe to say she knew the ingredients of Chemistry well enough to be able to spot it.

So, it was no surprise when she discovered how well she and Yoongi worked together. Together they had all the ingredients needed to create another masterpiece. Aamaira's hunger for improving her craft and his drive for perfection falling everything into place like two puzzle pieces perfectly balancing their energy. Like yin and Yang.

All in all she was most fond of the memory of the process. The magic it created. And how inspired Min Yoongi’s work ethic had left her. For that she was grateful. Tonight marks the final night of what had been a grueling few weeks. Lessons were learnt. Trials were faced. In spite of all the tears and joy she had she knew she was crazy enough to if given an opportunity she’d do it again.

Aamaira fixes her in-ear as she twirls her microphone in the other. Around her, her staff bustled in the welcomed confusion. Everyone was doing their part in ensuring her final stage came together wonderfully. Her male dancers, some idly stood about the room whilst others rehearsed their moves a little more seemed pumped and ready for tonight.

The soft rapture of a knock echoes on the closed door of the dressing room. Okay, Aamaira thought to herself. This was it. The final nail to the coffin. Once this night ends the Chapter of her life titled ‘Checkmate: Idol Rapstar’ will officially close.

Aamaira smiles. The type of smile that graces someone’s lips in a bitter-sweet manner. This is it, isn’t it?

“Ten minutes until crunch time.” The staff spoke aloud.

Hongkyu grins at Aamaira. “Ready to end it all?”

A grin stretches on Aamaira’s face. Whether she won or not, tonight she was going to go out with a bang.

Bright lights consumed the stage in a daunting stage as the rambunctious crowd screamed for their favorite contestant. Aamaira wasn’t paying attention to what Hyoyeon was saying as she peeps at the live show. Oh, that was another thing. Unlike the previous episodes, tonight’s finale would be a live broadcast.

“Eh-hem,” Someone clears their throat from behind her.

Aamaira whirls around at the sound. “Can I help you?” With a raised eyebrow she questioned the man as curiosity nibbled at her bones.

The much older man smiled kindly. “This will only take a second of your time.”

Aamaira frowns at the man she had never met before. “And, you are…?” She spoke the words like a stretched question.

“Oh, my apologies.” The man reaches into his pocket and showcases a company I.D. “I’m Kim Woosang. Assistant at Bighit. I was asked by my client to discreetly give you this.”

It was then Aamaira noticed what seemed like a custom-made chrome hearts microphone case that had this shocking neon green color in his now outstretched hand.

“From Suga seonbaenim?” She asks.

The male winces but nods anyway.

“Is it supposed to be a secret?”
