What if Zamasu Was Successfully Sealed?

Goku Black smirked evilly, as he watched his 'Shadows' surround Goku and Vegeta.

"What's the matter, mortals?" he taunted. "Relax, don't be afraid. I thought you Saiyan loved fighting the strongest."

With that, Goku and Vegeta went to battle his Shadows, but it would be all in vain. While they would do away with one, three more would take its place. Now all Black needed to do was watch and while Goku and Vegeta wasted all of their energy.

Now back-to-back with Vegeta, Goku grit his teeth.

"Any ideas? Everytime we take out one group, another batch shows up."

Crossing his arms, Black smirked. "And just like that, you're back to feeling overwhelmed again... You can't take out Zamasu's defenses, and you have no answer for my offensive might!"

"We are not done yet!" Vegeta roared, channeling his aura with Goku.

Both Saiyans charged up as many ki blasts as they could, before firing them at every Shadow they could see, exploding them into a pink smoke. Watching his opponents use everything they had, Goku Black smirked, as within seconds, the smoke began to reform into an even greater amount of Shadows.

"Damn it!" Goku hissed. "This isn't working!"

Smiling smugly, Black continued to taunt. "While you're stuck in a stalemate, Zamasu is locating Trunks and the remaining humans, and torturing them to death!"

"You're a coward, Black! If you want to prove you're better, then fight us, yourself!"

Black rolled his eyes, humored by his opposite's anger.

"Oh, I will! But not until we finish destroying the friends and loved ones you've sworn to protect... The anger of the loss will make you reach new heights of power. Which will in turn, strengthen me!"

Black held back a chuckle, before inevitably breaking into a hysteric, evil laughter. Everything was working out perfectly in his favor. With the rift his scythe had created, he had also inadvertently impaired Goku's Instant Transmission, making it impossible to rescue his friends. He was powerless to do a single thing, while Zamasu-

Goku Black blood ran cold.

Zamasu's ki had just vanished.

It wasn't possible. Even with his new power, Trunks didn't stand a chance against Zamasu's immortality. None of this made any sense. What had that mortal done?

That's right. In this timeline, Trunks' attempt to seal Future Zamasu away had a very different outcome. Here the Mafuba used to seal Immortal Kai away had a proper seal, not allowing Zamasu any way to escape. In this timeline, Zamasu was trapped, forever.

However, by putting one threat to rest, it would give birth to another danger; possibly more dangerous.

Goku Black grit his teeth, bringing his fingertips to his forehead and locking on Trunks' energy immediately, before using Instant Transmission, leaving Goku and Vegeta behind. In an instant, he appeared above Trunks, the rage in his body burning like never before, he screamed out to the half-Saiyan.

"Where is Zamasu?!"

Trunks grit his teeth, holding up an arm to block the women behind them, signaling them to run, but still panting in exhaustion.

"He's gone, Black. Gone forever." he managed to say through a smile. "Now, your Zero Mortal Plan will never be complete!"

Goku Black charged up his aura, burning almost as much as his own anger.
