"I love you, Lavender," I whispered.
"You love me?" She asked.
She talked. She finally talked.
Her eyes were still blank. Her question caught me off guard, making me pause for a second.
"You know I love you, Lavender. I'll do anything for you," I replied.
"You didn't love my baby," she stated.
Her words made my heart drop. And she didn't mean it to be like a question. She is stating it as a fact. Which is not true.
And she didn't say 'our baby', she said 'my baby'.
"I love you and our baby," I stated as a matter of fact.
"Stop lying, Vivaan," she screamed.
Tears escaped from her eyes. My heart clenched. But it's good that she is crying. She needs that. Otherwise she will lose herself.
"You broke your promise. You promised... you promised that nothing will happen to my baby. You promised that you will save my baby. But you lied. You lied to me," she let out the harsh words between sobs.
Her words are hurtful. But she is saying the truth. I wasn't able to save our baby.
"And you know what the worst part is?" She asked in a bitter tone.
I shook my head and her tears are still streaming down from her eyes.
"I think you never loved my baby."
