"Ruhiiiiiiiii!" I screamed on top of my lungs and ran in her direction.
She tilted her head, looking at me and my body shivered watching her tear- striken face.
"STOP ANU! Don't come near me otherwise I'll jump."
My feet automacally stopped in my tracks but my mind was still not ready to accept the fact that this was real.
"Ruhi, what the hell are you doing? Get back!"
I yelled and she shook her head in no while tears were continuously falling from her eyes.
"No....no no, I won't...I-"
No other word came out of her mouth and she cried. She was standing on the edge of the terrace and if she'll take just one step ahead, she will fall. One wrong move and she will lose her life.
"Ruhi! Look at me and tell me what happened?"
I tried to calm my nerves down and asked her. I need to get her down somehow otherwise... No no! Don't think like that Anu!
"Everything is ruined Anu.... Every... It's... It's over... I'm ruined... I just.. I can't... I can't!"
"RUHI STOP! PLEASEE!! Just look at me for once."
She was about to put her left leg forward when I screamed and requested her to look at me.
"Please Ruh!"
She listened to me this time & turned her face to look at me.
"Now please, please get back, please!"
She shook her head but my voice was sounding so helpless that even she couldn't deny it for long.
She took two steps back and I exhaled a deep breath which I didn't know, I was holding and ran towards her.
Hugging her tightly, I was feeling her increased heartbeats & shivering body. My own body was shivering but her state, no doubt, was worst.
"Ruh, look at me and tell me what happened? I'll fix it, I promise! Just tell me!"
I said, cupping her face in my hands and trying to sound as normal as possible but from inside, my soul almost left my body.
"I'm sorry Anu... I don't deserve a friend like you.... I don't deserve anything... I-i am just a cheater.... I'm sorry.. I'm really sorry Anu... Please forgive me, I'm sor-"
"Shhh! Are you mad? What are you even saying? Who the hell is putting all such non-sense in your head?"
I was confused as hell but more than that, I was scared. Really scared.
"No! I seriously...don't deserve...a friend like you....You will...also say this...after knowing the...the truth!"
