CHAPTER 12

GAB's POV

I am still remained standing here under the tree. Still stunned of what Cross did to me. He's fvcking crazy.

Unconsciously, I hold my neck using my left hand. Damn!

Phone ringing.....

My attention diverted to the phone inside my skirt's pocket when it rangs.

I took it out and answered without knowning who's the caller.

[ Gabrielle. ] nagulat ako sa paraan ng pagkakasabi nito kaya agad kong inilayo sa tenga ko ang telepono at tiningnan kung sino ang tumatawag.

"Dad." I muttered

[ How are you my daughter? ] he asked

"I'm fine Dad." I repplied

[ Good then. ] his voice was serious. Nakakapanibago.

"Uhm. Why did you call Dad?" I asked. Hindi naman kasi ito madalas tumawag. At kung tatawag man ito ay may ibibilin siya sa akin o di kaya ay may ipapagawa. He didn't give a call just only because he wants to know if I'm fine.

[ Gabrielle. ] once again, he called my name.

"Po?" he's being weird. He keep on calling out my name.

[ You need to go home. ] Huh? Why all of a sudden?

"In Korea?" I thought he want me to finish my studies here? Did he change his mind?

[ No. Here in Japan. You need to be here the day after tomorrow. ] D-Did I heard it right? Tama ba yung narinig ko?

"D-Dad?"

"I know. I know Gabrielle. I know how you hate Japan, but you really need to go here. Big time. Your second mission is in here. ]

"But Dad---"

[ Gabrielle you need to accept that he's gone. You need to face your fears. Live your life. Don't get yourself stucked in the past. ]

Japan. Since the day I woke up after the incident and realized that he really left me, I also left Japan. I don't know what is it on me, but I felt that I can't breathe in that place. Lagi ko syang naiisip. Hindi ako makatulog sa gabi dahil lagi kong naaalala kung paano sya walang awang pinatay sa harap ko. So I decided to go to Korea and continue my life there. Sa una mahirap pero hindi naglaon ay nakaya ko din.

Umuwi ng Japan ang pinakahuling gusto kobg gawin. May hindi pa ako nagagawa.

I sighed. Pero--siguro ay eto na ang panahon para harapin ang takot ko.

"O-Okay." I stammer. I heard Dad sighed.

[ Thank you. We'll help you to get through it. ]

"Thanks Dad."

[ Take care. I love you. ]

I'm going home.

Paris, France

KAIDE's POV

It's been three days since I went here in Paris. I'm with Gab's cousin. Cedric Kang.

We were sent here by Uncle Hatori Takenori dahil nandito ang mission namin.

Last night, Cedric and I did our mission which happens to be in Pattichet Palace. Yes palace. Dahil hari ang tinatrabaho namin ngayon. Hari ng isang mafia organization dito sa France. Matigas kasi ang ulo, sinabi nang kaming mga Cro-Magnians ang may hawak ng transaksyon sa mga katana, daggers, kunai at arrow ay sumige pa din sila. Ayan tuloy, nagalit si Boss!

Habang natutulog si King Temus Hilton kagabi, ay pinasok namin ni Cedric ang palasyo nya. Wala doon ang asawa't anak nito. Tulog na din ang ibang mga gwardiya at tagabantay ng palasyong iyon kaya madali namin siyang nakuha.

Bukas ay uuwi na kami ng Japan ni Cedric para ihatid si Hilton kay Boss. Si Boss na ang bahala sumintensya sa kanya.

"I got a news! I got a news! A good one!" Cedric chant while entering the condo's living room. Galing syang kusina, kumuha ng isang bowl ng ice cream. I immidiately grabbed his ice cream from his hand. Kumuha, kanya lang! "Yah! That's mine!" reklamo nito at pilit inaagaw sa akin ang ice cream kaya naman agad ko iyong kinutsara at isinubo. "Aish--You---aish!!" putol-putol na sabi nito at nagmartsa ulit pabalik sa kusina. Napatawa naman ako dahil sa inasal nito. Parang bata!

Hindi naman din nagtagal ay nakabalik ito na may dala ulit na isang bowl ng ice cream.

"Hey! What are you saying earlier? About the news? What is it?" I asked as he throw himself on the couch.

"Eotteongeoyo?" ( Which? )

"The news you're talkin' earlier before I grabbed this---"

"Ahh!" sabi nito sabay taas ng kamay na may hawak na kutsara. "Mianhae. I won't tell you." ( Sorry ) sabi nito sabay ngisi.

"Sabihin mo na!" sabi ko sabay subo ng ice cream.

"Mwo?" ( What ) Aish! Hindi nga pala to nakakaintindi ng tagalog. Tsk!

Cedric Kang is a full blooded Korean. Pinsan siya ni Gab at Ken sa mother side. Kapitbahay din to ni Gab nung nasa Korea pa silang dalawa e. English at Korean lang ang alam na lengwahe nitong Koreanong hilaw na to. Buti nalang matalino ako at nakakaintindi ako kahit papano ng Hangul. Kaso lalabas abg utak ko kaka-english dito!

"I said, tell me the news already." I repeated. Dapat maturuan tong magtagalog eh. Masakit sa ulo!

"Don't wanna. You ate my ice cream, so I wouldn't tell you." Sabi nito sabay subo ng ice cream.

"I will buy you one pack of potato chips tomorrow, just say it." I said. Mahilig sa potato chips to eh.

"Make it five packs!" he demanded

"Only one." I repplied

"Tasot!" ( Five! )

"Okay two. Two packs of potato chips."

"Net!" ( Four! )

"Two."

"Set!" ( Three! )

"Okay three. I'll give you three packs. Now, tell me." sabi ko dito. Hindi ba mukang lugi ako? Ang mahal kaya ng potato chips dito sa Paris!

"Okay. Okay. Uncle told me that we need to go back to Japan tomorrow." he said

"I already know that!" Aish! Nadaya ako! Yun lang pala ang sasabihin eh alam---

"Yah! I'm not yet done!"

"Okay continue." May kasunod pa pala hehe.

"We need to be there tomorrow because Gab is going back to Japan. Isn't it great? I really missed my cousin."

"E-Excuse me?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko.

"Aish! Jinjja? I said Gab is going back to Japan." he repeated pero ang sabi ni Ga---

"Are you sure?" I asked again. Ang sabi ni Gab sakin noon ay hindi na muna sya babalik ng Japan dahil---

"Hell I am! Uncle confirmed it already." Napatulala ako. Nagawa na ba nya yung sinasabi nya kaya babalik na sya ng Japan? Ang sabi nya ay babalik lang sya doon kapag ayos na ang lahat. "Aish! I'm not kidding you okay?" napansin siguro nitong nakatulala ako. Hindi talaga ako makapaniwala, pero wala namang rason si Cedric para lokohin ako. "If you're not convinced of what I said, called Uncle then." dagdag nito sabay tayo mula sa pagkakaupo sa couch. "Here's my phone, call him." sabi nito sabay bato ng cellphone nya sa akin na nasalo ko naman gamit ang kanang kamay ko. Pagkatapos non ay lumabas na ito ng condo.

Napatitig ako sa cellphone nya sabay nun ay naalala ko ang sinabi ni Gab sa akin.

'Hindi ako babalik ng Japan hanggang hindi ko sila nahahanap. Magbabayad sila ng malaki. I'll make sure they would regret what they did to me---to him. Papatayin ko silang lahat!"
