In Which Bickering Doesn't Ruin Friendships, Francis And His Big Mouth Does
Gilbert frowned at Alfred as he scratched at the parts where his delicate white skin had turned red and started peeling from over exposure to sunlight, since Gilbert had forgotten to wear sunscreen when he went out yesterday, and being Albino meant he burnt more easily than others. Gilbert said it was because he was so awesome the sun got jealous. Alfred had snorted at that point, but right now he was focused on something else.
"Are you texting him again?"
Alfred didn't look up from his phone as he answered.
"Yup."
"Aren't you supposed to be fighting?"
The only response Gilbert received was a snort from Alfred as he hastily typed a reply, and Gilbert pouted.
"What did he say?"
Alfred smirked at his reply text then glanced up at Gilbert.
"Huh? Oh, he said If I keep texting him just to complain he'll set Natalya on me."
He finished his text with satisfaction, then looked around as though searching for something before stopping on Gilbert with predatory look that Gilbert knew only too well.
"Hey, wait, what ever you're going to do, don't do it! I mean it!"
Gilbert warned, but Alfred's phone camera caught Gilbert before he could escape, and Gilbert blinked at the sudden flash, squinting more than ever. Alfred typed something more into his phone and clicked send on the picture before Gilbert figured out what was going on.
"Hey!" Gilbert complained, "What was that for?"
Alfred grinned mischievously in a way that would have easily convinced his family he wasn't heartbroken, but unfortunately only Gilbert was there too see it.
"He said not to text him to complain, so it's fine as long as I'm not complaining."
Alfred looked absolutely devious, but for once Gilbert wasn't in support of Alfred's shenanigans.
"Don't send my picture to that guy! You know I hate him!"
Alfred rolled his eyes.
"Duh, that's why I did it. He dislikes you too. This is the perfect way to annoy him!"
Alfred cackled and Gilbert scowled.
"I'll tell Franny you bawl your eyes out about Ivan everytime you're alone!"
Gilbert threatened, and Alfred redirected all his attention to Gilbert with narrowed eyes behind his glasses.
"Don't you dare! If you do that I'll tell Antonio what happened to his tomato garden last year!"
Unfortunately for Alfred, Gilbert was also close friends with Francis, which meant Gilbert got VIP access to all recent drama and rumours around school, which recently was all Alfred centered. Even more unluckily for Alfred, Gilbert was also close to Alfred, which meant even in these difficult times, Gilbert could have a hand in spreading rumours about Alfred. Perhaps the only bit of Luck Alfred had on his side was that being in the same school meant knowing a lot of each other's friends, even ones in different classes, and knowing Gilbert meant having a lot of blackmail on him, since Gilbert was the type to do stupid things.
Unfortunately for Alfred, his bad luck often out weighed his good luck, which is probably why he didn't notice Francis, who entered just in time to hear the last two lines between Gilbert and Alfred, then quickly retreated with a hand over his mouth, making a beeline to tell Arthur the news.
