In Which Too Many Well-Meaning Idividuals Can Cause A Disaster

Alfred flopped down over his English book with a whine, as Arthur lectured him lengthly over proper uses of tenses and articles. In his own house, Ivan began making plans for dusting all of Alfred's school belongings with Glitter, (which is, of course, far more annoying than sand) in response to Alfred's aggravation. Both of them remained peacefully oblivious to the ever-growing battle on the soccer field as the argument drew in curious spectators who then joined the battle field.

Kiku, feeling rather uncomfortable for somehow starting this -though he still blamed a great deal of the situation on his brother-was half hiding himself behind one of his best friends, Feliciano, who also happened to be what everyone assumed was Ludwig's boyfriend. This of course, meant that like most times, Where Feliciano went Ludwig was too, and which was in this case the middle of a war between Alfred's supporters and Ivan's. Thankfully, Ludwig hadn't come alone, and the person he brought with him quickly tried to control the situation that was spiralling out of control.

"Guys! Come on! Neither Alfred or Ivan would like it if you made a fuss! It's not that big of a deal!"

Unfortunately Ludwig's older brother, Gilbert, was only good at feeding fires, and the fighting got worse. The thing that finally silenced the war in just one word was not Gilbert at all, but the girl most commonly known as the "The Terror of West High" herself.

"Enough!"

Natalya only said one word, but when the students realized who she was they all fell silent instantly, using the same instinct that causes a rabbit to freeze up in front of a predator. Natalya put an end to the fighting by introducing a different kind of chaos.

"This fighting is stupid. It's simple, really. My brother is brokenhearted because he broke up with that idiot, and that idiot is brokenhearted because he broke up with my brother. I don't know why they broke up, but won't everything be solved by getting them together again? "

"That idiot" naturally was reffering to Alfred, and there was a stir as the crowd considered her words, but no one was stupid enough to object to them in front Of Natalya. Well, almost no one. In a situation where even the bold and reckless Gilbert was keeping his mouth shut, the normally quiet and shy brother of Alfred raised his hand.

"Um, Nat," Mathew began, accidently calling her by the nickname her big sister often used when talking about Natalya to Mathew, "Are you saying that your brother also likes my brother back?"

Matthew's question hung on the silent air full of tension, and all eyes looked to Natalya for confirmation.  Gilbert suddenly realized with a chill that things might end up badly for Alfred if he didn't do something right that second, and like he usually did, he moved without thinking to say or do something dumb. Perhaps doing Alfred a favour, considering Gilbert's usual method of 'handling things' which sucked, Gilbert's younger brother knew his older brother's bad habits well, and quickly caught Gilbert warningly by the wrist and pulled him back

Gilbert opened his mouth to complain, but it was already too late. In front of almost half the school, Natalya dipped her head in a silent agreement with glittering dark eyes. Mathew and several other let out a gasp.

Alfred, dozing off while Arthur continued to lecture, suddenly jolted awake feeling a terrible chill, and Ivan dropped the whole container of glitter into Alfred's school bag instead of just a little by mistake when he felt the same chill run through his body.

Both of them were sure of one thing: Something terrible was happening.
