Etho's Perspective-
Just so you know, these next chapters are gonna all be in Etho's POV bc I said so >:)
But seriously I just really wanted to focus on him and his time in his new town. Cool? Cool.
ENJOYI stared out the plane window and felt it start to move.
I sighed and shut my eyes.
This will all be over soon enough.
My mother smiled softly at me, and I tried to smile back but failed.
She chuckled and put her hand on my shoulder.
"It's gonna be okay, Etho. This is a good change."
"Yeah...I know." I whispered, turning back towards the window and putting on my headphones.
Three Days Later-
This is my new home.
Home is just a term used to describe the place you stay at, but it's not just a word.
It's a feeling.
A feeling of warmth and being with the people you love.
A feeling of familiarity and happiness.
And right now, I'm feeling none of those things.
I sat on my new bed and looked around at my room.
There were boxes scattered about, some open, some closed.
I sighed and sat up, opening one box and seeing three boxes shoved in the corner near it.
I stared at them and remembered what Adam had said.
"Open these at your new home."
I grabbed the presents from my friends and opened them.
fWhip gave me some new Pokémon cards, Adam got me Minecraft for me to play on my Nintendo Switch, and Sausage gave me a recipe book he made.
I chuckled, looking at the recipe book.
"Sausage, you know I can't cook." I laughed and placed the book aside before turning to the final gift from Joel.
I dragged it towards me and gently unwrapped it.
Inside was a letter on top of something wrapped in tissue paper.
I opened the letter and started to read it.
'Hey Etho. I heard it gets cold a lot in Wisconsin and I know your jacket's pretty old, so I got you this new one that's a bit thicker so then you won't get as cold. I hope you can continue sailing and I'm sorry that I never got good at it. But uhhh- I hope you have fun! And sorry if this letter is shitty, I suck at this feeling stuff. Anyway, hope to see you again. Keep in touch, Joel'
I laughed and smiled at the letter, feeling tears form in my eyes.
I removed the tissue paper around the jacket and tried it on.
It was super comfy and fit perfectly.
"Thanks guys, you really know what I like." I whispered, looking at everything my friends got me.
