The last Goodbye

"Do you think it'll work?"

"It has to. It is our only way."

The man with sunglasses did not speak anymore.

"Once I activate the spell that Goddess Ra had bestowed me with, everything will disappear, including my money, this apartment, as well as the memories of those people who ever came in contact with either me or Seth."

Horus nodded at Reijin's words and prepared to leave the room.

"Reijin! Reijin-ah! Reijin!" Seth shook the body of an almost unconscious Reijin frantically to keep her awake, to prevent her drooping eyelids from closing altogether. "Ambulance! Hospital! We need that!"

"It's futile, Seth. Nothing will work on her anymore." Spoke the voice that Ryujin hated so much at present. "It's no use of providing her with medical facilities. She's nothing but a walking corpse anyway."

"Shut up!" A tornado of sand rose from the ground. Seth fixed his burning gaze at the culprit while holding Reijin's body. "Just fucking shut up!"

"She is dead!" Osiris shouted. "What's the point in holding onto it?" Seth paid no heed to these ramblings and proceeded to carry his sister away, however, his legs seemed to have separate plans of their own as they refused to budge. Still he did not give up and tried to get up.

"It's futile to try even." Osiris scoffed.

Reijin coughed again; "Ryujin-ah.."

"Hush now Reijin, jaebal don't speak. I'll get you to hospital so ple--"

She cut him off. "Nae dongsaeng, what Osiris says is right."

"What no! You are believing this lunatic! Reijin you are hurt you need help. Damn it! If only I could stand." Park Ryujin cursed his legs and luck at the same time. Seeing this, Reijin's lips trembled, this time she allowed her tears to run down her cheeks. She held her frantic brother's shoulder, stopped him, held his tear stained cheeks affectionately. "Ryujin, I--"

"About time you came up with this confession, huh?" Ignoring Osiris, Reijin continued; "Ryujin..no...Seth, I...we...are not real siblings...in fact I never existed in the first place. I--"

"Reijin please stop I beg you!" Fresh tears erupted from Seth's eyes. 

Reijin's voice choked. "No no Seth, let me speak because--" She gasped for breath. "---my time is near...I wasn't your actual sister, but I always thought of you as my brother, my savior....someone despite being a powerless god, helped out a mute orphan kid with all his might..." Reijin coughed blood this time; "...that time also at the bank of the Nile...you may not remember but I do...thank you..." Blood dripped down her nose. She used her last energy to lift her hand, held Seth's cheeks and touched her forehead with his. 

"This is our final goodbye."

Her body cracked into millions of pieces just like glass and then she was gone with the wind.

There remained no Park Reijin who laid on Seth's lap secondss ago, a tiny ball of light however, entered into Seth that illuminated the entire eternal dark Duat. When the light mellowed down, the god of war was seen to be standing in all his glory.
