"You Fucker! You're the worst!"
A slap resounded from a room and a woman in tears half-ran out of it. The room was a wedding chamber to be exact where the newly wed bride and groom were expected to spend their 'first night'. The room was constructed for this purpose away from the main palace by the current regent of Egypt upon the insistence of her daughter-in-law who ran out of her most-awaited wishful wedding night.
The groom remained sprawled back of the floor, his wedding attire half open and his head slowly clearing up. He furiously blinked his eyes to get rid of the blurriness of his vision but with poor light that the measly scented candles provided his efforts were taking much time than it should've. Then came the memories of which he had no recollection of of his own wedding with Hathor.Hathor dressed as a bride.
Hathor and him completing wedding rituals.
Hathor and him receiving blessings from Ennead.
Their almost wedding night...and a name that slipped out of his tongue that she had always tried to suppress.
"Seth."
Even remembering the name of the red hair beauty cured the dizziness and blurry eyes of Horus. He rose on his feet and tried to recall what exactly happened. He wasted no time to sit back and try to recall what had happened with him and his uncle during the past few hours, he can think about them on his way to his uncle. He closed his eyes and allowed his wings to spread in their full glory before all of them broke into thousands of falcons and covered the entire night sky with their presence.
He didn't had to wait for long because one of his falcon was restricted strongly from intruding, a certain place within the palace itself. His spy falcon clashed with the restriction only to fall back on the ground. Horus' senses tingled with the sensation of of his mother's magic and the goddess of Justice Maat's power.
Horus set towards the specific direction without wasting any time. He can't let them take Seth away from him again. Last time, he couldn't protect him when Seth self-destructed himself, this time, he too, almost became someone else's husband had it not been for the disgust of Hathor of spilling another man's name during their intimate moment.
Horus gradually recollected his submerged memories of few hours prior as he neared to his destination.
Horus was walking behind Park Reijin as they landed at the exact spot where she could sense the essence of Seth. For a woman, she sure walked fast enough to make him jog behind her. Unfortunately, they couldn't reach the exact destination together because a ferocious black dog made them stop in their tracks. In pitch black darkness with occasional fire torches poorly illuminating the path, the eyes of the dog glowed ravenously.
"Anubis.." Reijin muttered. Horus took a good look at the dog once again. True to Reijin's words, the dog indeed had a symbol of ankh on its forehead. Weirdly, the dog's mouth was sewed shut painfully. It wasted no time to attack the intruders. Reijin's skillful way of dodging the dog created trouble for her partner, for the dog was now attacking the falcon guy.
Horus almost couldn't believe it when he heard Reijin yelling at him; "Thanks Horus! You handle that dog for me!" while he was struggling with the abnormal brute force of the dog. Soon, the dog transformed into a man who is as tall and burly as him with slime like curly hair.
"Okay, this should be fun."
After spending some time of exchanging blows with each other, the demi-god greatly surprised the god of afterlife when he saved his life from being buried under a pile rubble as the cave shook violently. Rubbles and stones started to fall from random directions making it difficult for the two men for continuing exchanging blows with each other. While Anubis was surprised and his heart was somewhat touched by the sudden kind action of his opponent, Horus however saved Anubis simply out of his own selfish reasons of making the god indebted to him and also he didn't want Seth to cry out his eyes again like he did last time when he met his step-son in the middle of the desert.
Generally, people leave their opponents to perish in case of any mishap during a battle but Horus' deed really did touch the enchantment filled soul of the other god. Horus pushed the mouth-sewn god towards a probable entrance; "Go! If you go that way you'll find the exit."
Anubis didn't speak but his dark eyes expressed shone in concern for the other man, as if asking; "What about you?"
Horus shook his head in return and mumbled loud enough for the god to hear it amidst the destructive, rumbling of the cave; "I'll go back only if I have my beloved by my side." He didn't waste anymore time and pushed the burly god to the said direction just in time as a huge stone blocked the path of the exit.Horus ran with all his might from where he could feel his uncle's full blown power. He tasted anger, sadness, despair, fear at the same time, emanating from the god of war. It was the same emotion that Seth had shown him when he mistook little Horus as Anubis.
When he reached the spot from where the power of the two gods were flowing out impeccably, he didn't see Park Reijin at all. And strangely, it was at this moment, a flash of thought crossed his mind in a lightening speed.
Who exactly was Park Reijin?
His thoughts were cut short when both his father and his uncle destroyed the ceiling of the almost never ending cave. Horus too spread out his wings and followed them, his only concern was his uncle, he kept an eye on him if he needs any kind of help. Even though he's just a demi-god, yet he can give his best shot against his father.
It was at this moment, he spotted his mother from above targeting his uncle, taking advantage of Seth's only concentration on Osiris but when Horus tried to rush towards his uncle's rescue, he was blocked by a mirror--a mirror where his image was reflected at first and then Hathor's unnatural glowing pink orbs, after that he doesn't remember anything.
Figures.
That mirror was probably Hathor's famous enchanted mirror, that is rumored to make people fall in love with anyone, even if it is someone whom they've never met. The effect however would last only for few hours and will last forever if the two people engage in sexual intimacy within the stipulated hour.
On his way to his uncle at present, Horus met someone he never expected to meet. He couldn't help but ask that person.
"What are you doing here?"
