Osiris' obsession led him to kidnap Seth from a different timeline and dimension and to Reijin's subsequent death. Horus too, travelled like his father, but only to protect the powerless human Ryujin and possibly develop their romantic bond. Unfortunately the poor guy didn't get much chance to do that, for Seth had defended himself on his own quite well but at the same time Horus' helpful, calm and non-clingy attitude had created a special space in his heart. In fact, he had been thirsting for Horus ever since their almost kiss in the kitchen.

Instinctively, Seth licked his lips.

"ENNEAD!" Maat's dramatic shout paused the murmurings. "Today we gather here, once again, for the trial of the evil god of war, Seth." Sneers and disgust were evident in the other Egyptian deities' faces.

"Seth, was previously punished for his tyranny and misdeeds by locking away his power but he cleverly escaped from that seal which was bestowed on him by self destructing himself instead of repenting and repaying for his sins! Now, today, on the auspicious event of Isis' son Horus' wedding, this man had the gall to invade Egypt again in order to cause disruption. Clearly, my fellow deities," Maat dramatically paused to increase the suspense; "clearly this sinful god was aiming for the throne once again to ensnare entire Egypt with havoc and chaos!"

Cheers of affirmation erupted from the entire arena.

"That's why I, Maat, Goddess of---"

"Now there wait a moment." Came a dominating voice that made Maat to stop her one sided speech. Everyone, including Isis and Maat looked at the interrupter who is none other than Ra. Isis visibly tensed.

"My dear Maat," The Sun Goddess shifted on her seat; "I may not be well knowledgeble about laws and rules of Egypt, but during a trial, I think it is reasonable to allow the defendant to voice out his opinions as well."

"Well he did voice them out last trial and they were nothing but--"

"Oh~ did you just say last trial? Are we still continuing it?" Ra made a questioning face and then narrowed her eyes. "Wasn't the verdict already given?"

"Yes, yes, Ra." Maat agreed after making an eye contact with Isis who looked livid at the talking sun god.

"So then this is  a fresh trial. Is it not?" The leisurely smile appeared on her red lips again. "I would implore, the wise goddess of Justice to allow the defendant to speak out." Ra, waved her hands and freed Seth out of chains greatly surprising both Maat and Isis who were about to voice out protests but were stopped when Ra playfully shouted out while adjusting her position into a leisurely one, once again; "Make sure you amuse me Seth~!" In return, Seth gave her a quick salute with two fingers with a tight lipped smile.

Seth now stood in front of Maat with a serious look on his face. "So, in this trial, I am accused of several things which can be summarised into that I have disrupted the peace of Egypt, yes?"

"Is there any doubt about that?" Isis scoffed.

"Hmm. Before we address this accusation, let us time travel a bit and go back to the past trial where accusation against me were brought that how I haven't fought with Horus fairly, how I am nothing but a tyrant who killed thousands of women for pleasure----however, I'd like to ask a question to all present here...have you.." Seth paused, then stilled his heart and opened his mouth; "Have ya'll ever wondered why I chopped down Osiris and threw him in Nile, why I hunted down Isis killing several look alike women in process?"

His heart thumped wildly after he spewed out the sentences.

"What reason?"

" You are evil!"

"Just punish him already!"

"You always aimed for that throne."----like hollers came from the throng of deities that sat in the arena.

He knew it, it ain't gonna be easy.

It never was in fact.

"Few years before the trial, before all the madness began..." Seth began. "I, my wife Nephythys, my sister and sister-in-law, Isis and my brother Osiris lived a harmonious life." Seth smiled at those memories, when everything was happy and normal. "The birth of my son Anubis brought joy to our married life," Seth's eyes sparkled as those fond memories reeled in front of him like a  camera roll. "..that was until I discovered my wife's betrayal to our marriage." Seth's face was back to serious.

"We all kno--mfphhhh!?" An Egyptian god's lips were sealed unknowingly unable to open them despite using all his strength. The God of wisdom smiled willfully as his power successfully sealed shut the mouth of a rude deity.

Seth continued; "She...my brother Osiris...Anubis...Anubis is not my child for I am infertile." He gulped down forcibly the emotions that were bottling up in his neck. "Yes, I am infertile, thanks to Osiris. I...he let me know about it all, when he and I shared a drink and....and he..." Seth couldn't continue as a mild blizzard of sand announced someone's arrival.

It was none other than Osiris.
