The room was tense, but I was tenser. I didn't let half of my emotions show throughout the entire meeting, but I could tell Cappi and Luka knew what was on my mind. We were going to lose this battle, especially if Modu could come into my house without me noticing. That interaction put me on edge, probably where he wanted me to be.

"So, you're going in disguise?" Quan asked Cappi. "It'll need to be believable, not quite the opposite of you, but very different."

"The complete opposite would give you away," Sara stated with a nod.

"Have a natural hair colour, always fools 'em," Dag commented from the kitchen. He hadn't stopped moving. He was muttering to himself the entire time, complaining about how he couldn't really be a part of the conversation and he hoped that we would be strong enough if the fairy caused any trouble.

"Natural hair colours are boring," Cappi complained, but as they did so, their hair began to lighten, leaving it a nearly bleach blonde colour. "And the eyes, will need to go." They pretended to wipe away a tear, but when their eye opened again, their forest green eyes turned a muddy brown.

"I hate it," Luka stated. He moved further away from Cappi, practically sitting next to the door. "That's too strange."

I wanted to scoff and comment about how he was making this comment about the fairy in the room, whilst being an angel, and surrounded by vampires and werewolves, but maybe he saw this as normal. "Your height," I pointed out.

Cappi looked down with a frown. "Okay, who wants to play toffee pulling with the fairy?"

"I do!" Aubrey declared loudly, rising to her feet with both hands in the air. "I wanna dislocate a shoulder or two."

Cappi didn't seem phased at all by her wording, which concerned me slightly. Nobody else volunteered, so I got up as well. "Just tell me what to do." I had to admit, that I hadn't done anything like this, disguising a fairy. I hardly knew anything about them to begin with, and I don't think I had met any fairies before Cappi.

I grabbed Cappi's ankles and Aubrey grabbed under their armpits, and we began to pull them slowly. It felt horrendous, like we were doing something wrong. It was exactly like pulling toffee, but there was a satisfying give every few minutes. It was like pulling on a straw, feeling the plastic go back into place.

Cappi had grown by at least a foot by the time we were finished. They grumbled that we were far too violent and jerky whilst doing it, but it achieved the right result in the end.

"Could you change your face shape?" Quan asked curiously. "I mean, my father might be a blind and ignorant man, but he might still recognise you."

"Thought you were the blind one?" Aubrey joked. I couldn't tell if it was hostile or not, but Quan didn't take any notice.

"I could..." Cappi trailed off and grabbed Sara's phone. They rested it on the mantelpiece, which probably hadn't been dusted in months. They put her selfie camera on and began to pull at their face, making their nose bigger and their ears smaller. Their mouth grew larger, and then they made their eyes smaller. It made me feel sick simply watching something like that. It was as though they were squishing their eyeball, almost causing it to pop out of their skull.

"Looks good," Quan said with approval. "Quite the opposite of yourself, but not too bad."

"You look like a villain from a kid's show," Dag commented. I wondered how many kids shows he watched, But I could agree with him, Cappi looked like the popular jock who would go around breaking girl's hearts.

"Could you add more muscle?" Luka asked, his face turning pink as he did. "I'm honestly just wanting to see how far this goes."

Cappi laughed and brushed him off. "Fairies aren't usually muscular, unless heavily influenced." They glanced behind themself, indicating that Mondu might be over there. "I think staying like this would be the best idea, shows that I've got more power." They flexed their invisible muscles.
