2024

It was a chilly day outside, being one the first days of the year. The sun was shining, providing a small amount of heat, which was quite needed during this cold weather.

People of all ages were rushing in and out, some going to work, some roaming the city, others to school. Every one of them with different thoughts and goals in their lives.

"Man, I can't take it anymore..."

A young man sighed, walking along on the sidewalk. He shivered from the cold wind, which led him to shield his uncovered hands in his jacket pockets.

"Bro, the semester just started!" responded laughing a girl. She fastened her scarf around her neck, blocking the cold breeze and preventing it to go further.

The boy huffed, producing a small cloud of steam. He ruffled his dark hair with one hand, with the other still in his pocket.

"And? We literally came back to school from Christmas break two days ago, and the teachers are already gone mad!" he blurted, "Like, who in the right state of mind puts a math test in the first week of classes?!"

"Well, you're right... but they're just doing their job" the girl replied, while tucking a strand of her pink hair behind her ear. The young man stopped walking, a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"What..."

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY???"

The boy shouted, not caring about the people around them. He quickly moved closer to his companion, putting his hands on both of her shoulders.

"What the hell? Did you hit your head during break??" He swayed the girl right and left, "You hate our teachers as much as I do!"

The girl sweat-dropped. "W-Well, I came to the conclusion that I can't keep antagonizing them," she responded, "And honestly you should start doing that too, maybe you'll actually pass your classes."

"YOU-"

"You guys know that everyone is looking at you right?"

The duo turned their heads, looking at the person who interrupted them. There stood a girl, a slightly annoyed expression on her face.

One of her hand was on her backpack straps, preventing it to slide off her shoulder. The breeze blowing on her face, making her squint her [e/c] eyes. 'Shit I forgot my scarf'.

"[NAME]!"

"Don't yell, it's still too early for this..." the girl murmured, passing a hand through her [h/c] hair. Evident dark circles under her eyes, which were still squinted from the wind.

"Hey are you okay? You don't look good." the boy asked. "DUDE!" the pink haired girl slightly punched him on his arm, "You have no tact!".

"WHAT? BUT IT'S TRUE!"
